2. Hamas and Arafat
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (11.11.08)
Apparently Hamas is embarrassed by the legacy of the corrupt thief Arafat. Not only did Arafat mastermind "heroic" acts like the Munich Olympic massacre, the Maalot massacre (22 children dead), Avivim bus (12 children dead) and the Achille Lauro murder, but Arafat also stole most of the International monies the PLO received. He used the stolen money to enrich himself and his allies, including his non-Arab friends.
3. Thethief Arafat died of Aids!
Jayjay ,   Israel   (11.11.08)
It amazes me that a man who stole billions of dollars from his own people is considered a hero by the same people he stole off! What a pack of ignorant brainwashed fools to idolize this disease ridden scumbag!

Oh yeah...I'm sure you never voiced an opinion on things that happened outside of your country! Wherever it is (Kazakhstan judging by your Borat-like English!)
7. Most Palestinians dont like Arafat
Palestinian ,   Nablus   (11.11.08)
He was a thief, a terrorist, a hypocrite, a dictator, a double faced self worshiping sleeze that would tell the arabic media one thing, and the western media another. He was simply a slave of the vatican devil worshipers like many arabic and jewish leaders are. I also dont agree with some of Hamas ways such as suicide bombings (something which was introduced by the PLO), firing rockets at civilians etc, i believe that Hamas should appologize for those actions and distance them from such acts, likewise i feel the israeli should do the same, appologize for it's crimes on Palestinians and distance themselves from them.
8. My vision of peace (part 1)
Palestinian ,   Nablus   (11.11.08)
You may not believe this, but religious Muslim Palestinians and religious Jewish Israelis have more in common then they know. With the secular PLO (especially fateh) there will not be any real good future. If Hamas reforms a bit and stand 100 percent against any violence on civilians and the Israelis do likewise, without anyone of us supporting violence or opression on civilians regardless if they are Jews or Palestinians, then we can make not only peace but also show the devilish vatican that we have defeated their plans. Palestinians do not want to throw you in to the sea, this was also recently rejected by Ismael Haniya of Hamas, he said something like this "How can a beseiged people waiting eagerly to see a boat pass by its water want to throw anyone in to the sea"? The vatican wants to see Palestinians and Jews kill and hate each other so they can carry out their diabolic plans. This land of Abraham should not be split in two with it's people hating each other, this land should be united and it's people must reconcile. You can call it Israel and we can call it Palestine, and on the map it can be called the holy land. Both Israel and Palestine should be seen as a legitimate name for it and not an insult to anyone. Jews and Palestinians should have the right to live in any part of it, allthough jewish neighbourhoods and Muslim neighbourhoods etc can be OK in parts of the land but not entire cities. Jews can follow the Torah and Muslims the Quran without any conflict since both come from Alllah-Elohim. It is time to recognize each other as equal and both have a right to be here but i dont support the two state resolution, i want to see all of this land lived in by it's people - Palestinians and Jews - The cousins of each other, the children of Abraham (peace be upon him). Please try to see this conflict from our side of the story, to us this conflict is about foreigners coming here from all over the world taking this land while we are opressed in it and those who became refugees are forbidden from returning to it. We want to live in our land in peace, recognized as having a right to it, without opression and without hate, with dignity. For you, this is your original land and not the countries you came from and you want to live here without suicide bombings, war and rockets, you want to live in peace without conflict. Well let us then accept these two stories since in reality they are both one story: The children of Abraham want to live in peace in their land, without war, hate and opression - so let us do it. Both sides must recognize their wrongs. I dont have any hope that the politicians will do the right thing because all or most of them are a bunch of slaves of the vatican who want to control us all and have us hate each other. I want the people to stop the hate and turn that hate instead to those who started this conflict in the first place (not people, but leaders). Britain had no business ocupiying this land, and their intention of bringing in jews was never to create security for them, it was to start the fire and explosions between Muslims and Jews, while they sit behind and laugh. Arabs and Jews should from the start have joined hands against the devil, but what has happened has happened, now let us correct the past by not repeating it. Let us create an atmosphere that will make our children be smarter then us and work together as one against those who hate us both. PALESTINE AND ISRAEL IS ONE COUNTRY, NOT TWO AND THOSE WHO REALLY LOVE IT SHOULD ALSO WANT TO SEE UNITY BETWEEN IT'S PEOPLE. Dont be negative about it. Hebrew and Arabic should be spoken by all Palestinians and Israelis. Israeli and Palestinian should melt in to mean the same thing - a native of the holy land.
9. My vision of peace (part 2)
Palestinian ,   Nablus   (11.11.08)
There are people that hate each other among Jews and Muslims but we can change their opinions, hate in most cases comes from ignorance so lets end the ignorance. Sure it is something natural to hate those that kill and opress, but lets not hate those that havent done this, let us see things from each others percpective. If a Israeli soldier kills or does wrong to Palestinians, then that does not mean that all jews are doing it, and if a Palestinian fires a rocket or a suicide attack then that doesnt mean all Palestinians are doing it. If a Israeli or a Palestinian supports the act of evil done then that is not necassarly because he is evil, it is more likelely because of ignorance, because this person have not been given the chance to see it from a diffirent perspective - he or she have seen much injustice during his/her life that it is something normal to see the other as the enemy, despite the fact that it doesnt have to be like this. I know i might sound like a dreamer, but i believe in this, i want to see peace but in a just way that satisfies us all and recognizes us all as rightful natives of this land. Israel + Palestine = The holy land and it's people = Bani Ibrahim/Avraham. Punish the murdurers, rapists, opressors and other evil persons from both sides, not the people they belong to.
10. See, Israel And Hamas DO Agree On Somethings!
David H ,   Marietta USA   (11.11.08)
That should give our future ruler something to work with.
11. Hamas only hates Arafat because he married a Christian
Bill ,   US   (11.11.08)
They said as much when they spoke against the plan of burying him on the Temple Mount. That he was a liar, murderer, kidnapper, thief, pedophile, and racist doesn't upset them as much.
12. #7, 8, 9 Wow, 120% with you !!!!
avi   (11.11.08)
Berechit 25/9: "And Isaac and Ishmael his sons buried him in the cave of Machpelah" ... and on the same plane, Israel & Iran should make peace also. Ok for the Vatican but there's more than it, think Germany and Japan for instance, and add some western banksters not naming them I like you cannot say all I want ! best.
13. nonetheless, (+ #11 you're wrong)
avi   (11.11.08)
you should let us jews rule on the Temple mount and Jerusalem. We have no claim about Mecca ...and also, Israel ought to be a jewish state in its "constitution", you, arabs have a lot of arab countries and before jews came back, Israel never was an arab state. #11, there is a core difference between Hamas and Fatah in their faith and behavior even if both are sadly accustomed to commit unforgivable crimes. annavi@netvision.net.il
14. The reason unstated
Jerrold Cohen ,   Seal Beach, USA   (11.11.08)
This article missed the reason Hamas is not permitting a demonstration over Arafat. When they did last year it ended up in rioting, and Hamas does not want a repeat.
15. to # 11 - You are wrong
Palestinian ,   Nablus   (11.11.08)
Lol, this is the first time i hear such an arguement, that hamas hates arafat cuz he married a christian. Most Palestinians disliked Arafat because his politics was double faced and didnt have the interest of the Palestinian people at heart. don't make this an issue about marrying a christian since it has absolutely nothing to do with it.
16. # 13, cousin avi
Palestinian ,   Nablus   (11.11.08)
The temple mount is holy both to Muslims and Jews and to rule out one of them from there will not solve the problem, instead let us share the temple mount, you worship Elohim your way and we will worship him our way and when we meet there we will say Al shalom aleikom. After all we worship the same God, there is no paganism in Islam, nor in Judaism - it is all about one God. The worst sin in Islam and Judaism is to make a partner with God, none of us do this. You say that "we" arabs have a lot of states and that this land never was an arabic state. I dont agree with this statement because i am not from another arab country - I am from Palestine - this is where i come from. Call it arabic or not, it will not change that this is where i am from - i dont feel like i belong in any other arabic country - neither will the rest of my people. We were here before the arabic language came here - our language used to be aramaic. When arabs came here, this place was not empty, it already had people here - they are also Palestinians today. In the old days, there was no nationalism in the same sence as today and there were no borders like there is today, people married from each other, moved from place to place without saying i am Egyptian, I am Palestinian i am Syrian etc but that doesnt mean that those people didnt give birth to people who today say such. This is what i need you to understand - we are not simply arabs that belong in any arab country, we belong here. It is sad that many seem to believe that all arabs are one and same people, that is not the reality - all arabs are connected by language but every people have their own history diffirent from the other and if you look at DNA among diffirent people that are called arabs today - then you will see a diffirence between them. Also DNA studies have shown that there are jews and Palestinians that share similar Dna. but i dont remember if it was ashkenazi jews, sephardi or mizrahi or whatever. I think the constitution should be both Islamic and Jewish (not arabic) and this goes hand in hand. The official languages will be both Arabic and Hebrew and all children should be taught these languages in school. It is true that Palestine was not an independent state as independence is seen today, but neither was most of the countries in the area until Britain and France (the colonialists) carved them up in to a bunch of proxy states - It doesn't change the fact that we lived here and are connected to this land. As i said, if both of us can accept each other as having a right to be here and that both are connected to this land - then there will not be a problem in sharing it while respecting that this land has a Jewish and Islamic charecter and not just one of them - once we accept this then it will not be painful to see our country associated with judaism (for us) and Islam (for u). All of it for everyone. Actually we are allready countrymen so the sooner we realize it the better it will be. Once this happens, there will be no problem if i call it Israel or Palestine since it will mean the same. Just like with Iran, it is called both Iran and Persia and there is no problem with it. Land of Abraham can also be the same - Israel and Palestine = The same. This is my opinion. Wish you all the best.
17. By the way
Palestinian ,   Nablus   (11.11.08)
As for the army, i believe it should have soldiers and officers in it from both sides, all working for the safety of the country and it's people no matter against who is threatning the security.
18. # 7 What about " Vatican Devil worshippers"?
S ,   Germany   (11.11.08)
Your vision of peace is not very convincing because you forget that Christians also have a right to live peacefully in Israel. And you're insulting (catholic) Christians by calling them "vatican devil worshippers". This is disgusting. You're also a hypocrite.
19. yes & no ... (18, reread !)
avi   (11.11.08)
"He was simply a slave of the vatican devil worshipers like many ARABIC AND JEWISH LEADERS are." I agree for the sin we both escape, (B"H) and for the birthright, but, if you accept Abraham as your ancester and Hashem-Elohim as his G.d, you should recognize also that Hashem-Elohim gave His rules for us to practice in order to be His people, Israel ... One thousand years before islam, there was here a jewish state with special customs that have to be performed in order to view onself as an hebrew, or a palestinian if you like though that word has no meaning in itself historically.
20. THERE IS HOPE YET FOR THE HAMAS STATE
zionist forever   (11.12.08)
Maybe there is hope for Hamastine yet. Its just a shame that we signed the oslo which has brought nothing but misery and death on both sides. If we didnt get involved with the oslo tradgedy then Arafat would have died in exile in Tunis and Gaza would have remained an Arafat free zone from the start.
21. palestinian from nablus
zionist forever   (11.12.08)
Your proposal sounds all very nice and good but the fact is the Israelis are stiill the only loosers at the end of the day. The worlds only jewish state is wiped out in the name of peacemaking instead we have just another arab majority state but where jews will be permited to live. If there can be a deal done that involves seperation either Jordan officialy becoming the palestinian state which is what it was created for or even the possibility of giving away a small amount of territory by Israel to create the 23rd arab state why should the solution have to involve replacing the JEWISH STATE with some kind of bi national one. There are over 50 islamic states in the world 22 of them are also arab states why should Israel be asked to give up its status as the worlds only jewish state so it can have peace. In the begining Herzels solution to ending jewish persecution in Europe was for the jews to all convert to christianity and then he saw that no matter how much jews tried to integrate they would never truly be equals and he started developing the zionist ideals of a spesificly jewish state. You dont give up your identity so you can satisfy somebody else. What would the arab & muslim world say if Israel decided that the best peace plan would be if Saudi Arabia agreed to become a binational state where jews could also live .... they would say get out of here we are an islamic state and thats how we will stay even if it means we have to look for other solutiont to ending the war. Its always Israel thats expected to make the concesions. The arabs have 90% of the Middle East between them but still everybodies prefered solution seems to be Israel becoming a binational state. Even the likes of the US want to see this as the solution but they all know its politcal suicide for any western politician to suggest this so they talk about 2 states. What you want is what the entire world wants and thats its replacement as a binational state. The only people who dont like that idea are the jews of Israel, diaspora jews and some christian evangelicals. Also whats this hatred towards christians & catholics especialy you have. How can you preach about religious tolerance between jews & muslims when you compare catholicism to devil worship. I would have thought you would feel closer to chiristians than jews because unlike jews muslims also consider Jesus to be a profit so the guy who is important to the christians is also important to the muslims allthough not to the jews but its the christians you dont like.
22. # 15 I'm only repeating what I read
Bill ,   US   (11.12.08)
Years ago when Arafat supporters lobbied to have him buried on the Temple Mount, his opponents objected primarily because he married a "pagan woman". I'm not saying that's how all Palestinians feel but that was the reason they gave at the time.
23. end (+ #21)
avi   (11.12.08)
21: Pal did not say christian's worship but Vatican's worship by jewish & arabs LEADERS and he's so so right ... You must know who you are and the G.D of Abraham did gave him a mission through his seed which was Itshak and not Ichmael and Ichmael did realize that and did Teshuva. Best.
24. #20
avi   (11.12.08)
yes, israeli LEADERS were mostly rsponsible of Arafat (y"s) success in his come back to "palestine".
25. #17 Absolutely agree with you.
