Americans can afford to make a mistake and correct it four years from now. Israelis don't have that luxury. So Bibi can use a fancy website all he wants. Israelis are too smart to fall for matters of style. MK Eldad's Hatikva coalition is the only true patriotic option to make the country strong, and to defend Jewish heritage.

The only other candidate who is electable enough to win is Livni and better a not so great Bibi than Livni she is Olmert in a dress. Hatikva would be the best party but the problem is this race is going to be very close between Natanyahu & Livni and allthough Natanyahu is far from ideal choice he is at least better than Livni So do we say that Bibi is not perfect so lets vote for the preferable but smaller party and then significantly increase Livnis chances of becoming the next PM and we are going to end up with a far left wing coalition led by an incompitent woman. The alternative is to say I dont like Bibi much and allthough I dont trust him fully I trust him more than Livni so better to get him elected and make the best of a bad sitution. This election is just going to be so close because Livni is playing miss perfect and the public are willing to make the same mistake with Livni that they did with Olmert then the best thing to do is vote tacticly even if he is no good if Natanyahu is even slightly better than Livni and he is electable then he is the one that should be voted for. I do belive that if he does won the election parties like Hatikva and Yisrael Beitanu will be asked to join the colaition because the fewer old Kadima & Labour faces making a comeback the better and if he can avoid needing $ha$ even better. Hopfully these parties would help steer a Likud led coalition in the right direction. As for copying Obamas website, as long as he doesnt copy Obama policy then good for him the man wants to get elected & this style hellped Obama alot so why not use his winning tactics?

That is the most pathetic defeaist piece of reasoning I have ever heard. Let me see if I understand you. We should vote for a bad choice to avoid a worse choice because the best choice can't win. Do I have that right? Well, with that attitude you are probably right. The best choice won't win. But, if Am Yisrael gets behind the best choice and supports them and votes for them then you may be surprised. Kind of like the Obama supporters did for their man. Whether he was the best choice isn't the issue. The point is, those who believed he was the best choice worked hard for him to get him elected.

David What I say is lets face the REALITY of the situation on the ground. We have Livni just waiting to pick up where Olmert left off for another 4 years and already in less than 2 they have done more damage to this countries interests than anybody has ever done since its founding. Can we really risk Livni getting elected? If she does there will be no time for any right wing government to try fix damage she and Olmert have allready done she will pick up where they left and most probably within a year everything will be gone. Bibi isnt a great PM but he has just seen Olmert chased out and Livni unable to put together a coalition and Likud have been in the political wilderness since Sharon broke away from Likud and created Kadima. He cannot risk upsetting the core voters by getting to cosy with Obama he is promising to be tough so he has to deliver or come next Likud primary he might just find Moshe Filgin in charge of his party, the preasure is on him to deiver what the right wing want. I basicly think that the reality of the situation is most right wing voters will choose Likud while most on the left and a large portion of women will go for Kadima so can we risk splitting the vote for a minority party when the reality is it doesnt have enough support nationaly to have a chance in hell against the big boys? Hatikva dont have hundredss of millions of dollars in their bank acounts to try put their message accros the way Obama did so between now - Febuary do you think a new party has what it takes to be in with a fighting chance of beating Livni? This is about tactical voting to make sure that we dont end up in a nightmare scenario. Come next primary I would love to see Likud elect Moshe Felgin and I would like to see Hatikva becoming electable but if Natenyahu is the only electable other than Livni then I know who I would raher have.

Perhaps the author should have done a bit of research about content management systems and commercial templates before writing this article. The fact that two websites share a similar template signifies absolutely nothing. In point of fact, the reason these templates are used is because they can be easily and cheaply modified (images, text, module positions), without having to code an entire site from scratch. Or maybe the author believes that Obama has exclusive rights to the color blue?

There is one significant difference between the two web sites. Benjamin Netanyahu's site has the Israeli flag prominently displayed, Obama's web site has his made up crest. Of course, Obama's site may reflect his true nature, as one of his aids just said on national TV that Obama would be ready to rule from day one.

A more centrist news has an opposite commentary: Livni is running an Obama campaign. I suppose it's all in the vision.
