While there are "secular jews" in Israel, the govt. and policy is jewish which moves it to support further settlements and aborts peace efforts with palis. The other part of Peres' speech was not reported in Ynet although it was in Haaretz. The part where Peres declares the impotence of the Israeli government by tellling the British that evacuating illegal settlements will lead to civil war.That, in effect, the settlers can do whatever they please. Why hasn't this been reported?
