This past week on Israeli TV we saw a report about the hundreds of tunnels the Gazans have connecting them with Egypt. They are 'importing' plenty of food and supplies from Egypt. The joke was made by a local Gazan, that he wishes they'd build a wider tunnel, so that he can buy a new Mercedes, and have it delivered through the tunnel. The Israeli closer of borders is not as effective as it could be because they are sustaining themselves, and do not really suffer from the closures as much as they would be, if they didn't have those tunnels. The Gazans repeatedly try to dig tunnels into Israel too. But they're not meant for transporting goods, but rather terrorists. When will the world recognize that alot of what is considered inhuman Israeli response is self-defense?

Israel must restore its “aura of invincibility” lost in the Second Lebanon War if there is to be any semblance of hope for a better future.
