Olmert: No reason we can't agree on core issues soon    Yitzhak Benhorin
1. Free Pollard
Call Up The White House Tommorow! Tell President Bush to free Jonathan Pollard! Dear President George Walker Bush: You, despite the harangue of many, have chosen during your eight-year term as term as president the unwavering support of the State of Israel, and affirmed that it is, indeed, a close ally of the U.S. An American citizen, Jonathan Pollard, has spent nearly 24 years in federal prison for the alleged leakage of classified U.S. information to Israel. Should he not be pardoned after so long a tenure in near-complete isolation, for a crime far less heinous than those of many free men - assisting a dear and loyal friend of our great country, the United States of America? And he was loyal to his people - did you not say recently that religion is an important facet of a strong and healthy community? I, and all my brethren, request of your gracious person the benevolence to pardon the long incarcerated Jonathan Pollard once and for all, to list yourself in the annals of our long and colorful history as a great and king leader. Sincerely and imploringly, A loyal citizen Contacting the White House [En Español] Mailing Address The White House 1600 Pennsylvania Avenue NW Washington, DC 20500 Phone Numbers Comments: 202-456-1111 Switchboard: 202-456-1414 FAX: 202-456-2461 TTY/TDD Comments: 202-456-6213 Visitors Office: 202-456-2121 E-Mail Please send your comments to comments@whitehouse.gov. 2. "I've been speaking to the Palestinians without pause"
Because he himself, his family and all his associates are arabs. That is the only explanation for his remarks about going back to 1949 borders and giving up billions in infrastructure not to mention the blood sweat and tears of real Jews. He told us that he is tired of fighting and winning? When did he ever fight? When did any member of his family serve in the IDF? Doesn't he know you negotiate from a position of power and you don't give up the entire cake before you go into haggle? Why is this crook still going to the US and making promises to anyone?

3. Israel's True Friend
In years to come, I am certain the full dimension of Pres Bush's support for the State of Israel will come to light---he is due every honor Israel can bestow...

4.  It is sad to notice that most peoples are simply not ...
It is sad to notice that most peoples are simply not well informed… Even if the Arabs will get an additional state,a "Palestinian state", the Land of Israel will still remain the Land of the Jews that was robbed by the Arabs. The entirety of Jerusalem as the entirety of the Land of Israel belongs exclusively to the entirety of the Jewish people. It belongs to our generation as well as to the future generations to come, and no one has the right and/or the legitimacy to cede even one single square cm. of the city or the land. Agreements as a result of blackmail and pressure are not valid and will not change historical truth and International Legitimacy (The San Remo agreements). Mistakes done by Israeli government(s) in Anapolis or before should not be respected and should be put right immediately. Arabs have no case as to the Land of Israel, we should return to the original legitimity as described at : http://xrl.us/bjch4

8. This Man is MAD
This Man is absolutely MAD and a Loony Tune.
Ralph Levy ,   USA   (11.25.08)
9. Is Olmert concerned with pleasing Israel or his own family?
Needing his family as he faces investigations one wonders if Olmert is more concerned with applying the agenda of his radical family members or the needs of Israel.
Sam ,   Canada   (11.25.08)
10. olmert continues
Fine, good luck olmert. Now israeli readers, pressure the olmert family who turned olmert from likud to meretz. Pessure the family Contact or write shaul olmert (New York)at shaulmert@nick.com, or infosundaysky.com, ariel olmert at sorbonnes, paris, france, dana olmert at machsom watch(check their website), aliza olmert in jerusalem. And Marcus of haaretz would do anything to sustain kadima and dismisses the views of the majority who don't want olmert, livni and barak. They don't want them.
marcel   (11.25.08)
11. MAD Part 2 Duex
Forgot one thing Livni would agree with me on this point that Olmert is MAD after reading this article.
Ralph Levy ,   USA   (11.25.08)
12. Olmert have not mandate and is not allowed to do anything
It is illegal for him to do this. Arrest Mazuz and get an AG that enforces the laws.
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (11.25.08)
13. THANKSGIVING holiday
Thanksgiving is an American holiday but Israelis can be thankful that they are soon to be rid of PM Olmert.. We in the USA may have a "lame duck" ,but you in Israel sure have a still dangerous WEASEL.
Ray ,   USA   (11.25.08)
14. police investigate
Mazuz will not indict as legal community decided to protect olmert so he could establish palestine with 50,000 arabs returning to israel as part of right of return. The only thing you can do is to protest.
alexi   (11.25.08)
15. #14 Mafuz
well he won't be there past February so after that Olmert will be investigated and imprisoned. After this election there needs to be a large investigation of the entire previous government, and their dealings with other countries. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com

16. ohlmert
you and your charming wife, aliza, no longer represent the people of israel and you should not have traveled to the usa. I am sure u met your millionaire friends, received some more envelopes and did aliza return with you or she remnained behind on behalf of the israeli taxpayers? you really are disgusting. I have seen you and your wife in action and you make us SICK. go home, stay home and keep your mouth shut.
sas ,   israel   (11.25.08)
17. tell olmert to stop
ehud doesn't listen to winograd, he doesn't lsiten to Livni, the doesn't listen to barak, he dosen't leisten to the IDF who hate him, he appoints peretz with no experience according to winograd. Maybe he will listen to his son Ariel who should tell him to stop his negotiations which are killing israel and who most israelis disagree with. Readers, contact Arie : e-mail: didier.alexandre@paris-sorbonne.Fr to protest his father's activities and to tell him to stop the sellout. No peace can happen when as Itamar rabinovich points out, one side is begging for it. Olmert has been begging assad, abbas and all arabs to take it all and sign a peace. Who cares if they lob rockets. remember benvenusti-he advocates a binational state of palestine. That's what olmert has secretly agreed to. All jews post 48 will have to leave in a 3 year period of time. Only those jews pre 48 can stay as second class. Olmert himself and his family will be moving out of the new country and settling in USA. Protest!!!
geroge   (11.26.08)
18. After olmert is tried for treason,
his next big decision will be what to have for his last meal. The next government should imprison the whole olmert family in solitary confinement for life.
jason white ,   afula,israel   (11.26.08)
19. I like Ehud Olmert
What is wrong with seeking peace? So he traveled first class. Big deal. Most politicians travel first class. Why is bombing Syria's nukes bad? Gaza was a mistake only because Hamas took over. Hindsight is 20/20 and you cannot blame Mr. Olmert for that! Now he will progress more cautiously. I believe our country is becoming a third world police state. Let us be more western and modern and look at Mr. Olmert for what he is: a hard working, effective and sincere politician. My advice is to call off elections and reinstate Ehud Olmert a Prime Minister.
John   (11.26.08)
20. Core issues, No division of Jerusalem, no return of traitors
no giving up any land within the fence. olmert is such a pathetic publicity hound. He is gone but not gone away.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (11.26.08)
21. core issues
For the corrupt olmert the only core issues are the cash envelopes. This crooked politician sees only whats good for himself and nothing for the israeli people. What Bush and Rice consider core issues are not on the Israeli agenda. The people want defence ,finance and health as CORE ISSUES The corrupt olmert has been told, advised interpeded but being an ignoramous he cannot fathom the israeli demand.
colin   (11.26.08)
22. For #1 and #3
First of all, as an American, my view is to let Pollard rot. Perhaps the Iranians had the right idea, when you uncover a traitor, shoot them. As to #3, perhaps Bush should get a medal from Israel, he certainly won't get one from this country, If he would only move to Israel many Americans would approve. As long as he and his disastrous policies come to their inglorious end. As for Olmert, how many times do we have to hear a lying Israeli talk about a 'peace' they have no will, nor ability, to bring about. The 'Road Map' has proven to be a map for running over Palestinians.
