I hope your prayers get answered - quickly.
2. I join you in prayer
Petra ,   usa   (11.27.08)
may G-d grant a quick, safe release to these fine people. I hope all who read these do the same.
3. May G-d Bless them and keep them.
Yishai ,   Denver, USA   (11.27.08)
4. Why do people go to places like India and Thailand?
Rivkah   (11.27.08)
I have had neighbors and friends over the decades who went to India and Thailand and both came back with diseases and a total regret at having travelled to those places. Juanita Bergi, whose husband got a beautification of America award for Bush Gardens landscaping from President Johnson's wife, went to India and came back with a parasite infestation and horror at the poverty of multitudes which spoiled the beauty of the Taj Mahal. Karen Oslerland's mother went to India with her husband who took a job there. Her mother contracted a parasite that destroys the liver that was transmitted to Karen at her birth in India. Her mother died when Karen was three years old and Karen lost part of her liver when the parasite infestation in her became active. She nearly died when pregnant and was told not to conceive again. Elizabeth Bentley of Tucson went to Thailand with her mother and children for a "vacation" and Elizabeth came back having been bitten by a mosquito that infected her with filiarisis, the precursor to elephantiasis. Now this family has gone to India and may not come back. Why not leave India and Thailand to the Indi's and Thai's and go to better places that won't be a negative memory for life.
5. No 4

If you haven't got anything sensible to say - just put a lid on it!
6. with the family in hopeful prayer
(11.27.08)
an Israeli thankful for past chabad assistance abroad
7. #5 Amen to THAT!
israel   (11.27.08)
And how many MILLIONS of people do go and come back saying it was the trip of a lifetime. Rivkah is a sad lost woman with nothing to say.
8. Ynet where is your sense and sensibility?
Sally Forth ,   Jerusalem   (11.27.08)
most times I ignore Rivkah's comments. most times I hold you the TB editors responsible for letting her dribble through. This time it really seems that your sense and sensibility button is truly broken! Is there any real reason why you posted her talkback? Does it add anything besides frustration to an already painful situation Please do seriously consider just this once, that it may be best to delete her comments. thank you
9. the saddest is they believe in what they do
avi   (11.27.08)
and will stay. Questions ?
10. prayer
Ilana   (11.27.08)
My heart are prayers are with all families with loved ones in Mumbai. May they all return home safely. The world is going completely crazy.
11. Rivkah and Ynet
Poitcha ,   Israel   (11.27.08)
What these kind and caring Jews are doing there is not relevant at the moment. Our prime concern is their well being and safety. May G-d answer all forthcoming prayers for them to be reunited with their families as well as the Israelis who have been kidnapped. As for Rivkah, do you not bleed for others? Must you always be totally insensitive to other people's needs? And as for the YNET team of censors.......why do you allow a talkback such as Rivkah's during such heartwrenching times or at any other times for that matter? May we hear good news for all concerned soon.
12. Chabad
Charles ,   Petach Tikva   (11.27.08)
If there is something we can appreciate from them , it is that they are going everywhere , dangerous or not . They were even in the Sinai during the Yom Kippour war , installing Souccoth for the Soldiers i was told . Let's only hope that we will have a "happy end" for all those involved . It's not the moment to discuss the reasons people are there .
13. sending prayers of safety and wellbeing for all those held
Sally Forth ,   Jerusalem   (11.27.08)
14. May G-d protect those who are in danger. Amen.
Efroim ,   Washington DC   (11.27.08)
I perosnaly would never go to those places. As someone here already said, its dirty and you can get sick easily. Whats to see there? Sof Ha'Olam. You couldnt pay me to go to such places.
15. #8
Chris ,   USA   (11.27.08)
Leave Rivkah alone. Why shouldn't she be able to voice her thoughts? I hope all of the Isralies held hostage are returned safely as well, but you shouldn't critize her for a thought.
16. MAY G-D HELP THIS YOUNG COUPLE AND ALL THE ISRAELIS THERE
M   (11.27.08)
Some people like Avi who have no belief are like a dried leaf in the wind. Instead of joining in prayer he questions their life. What a shame and how sad it is to be like that. I pithy you Avi.
17. REPLY TO #4 - WHY INDIA
Johnny ,   TA   (11.27.08)
Thousands of Jews (mainly Israeli's) go through India. It is that simple. They need to have place to daven and learn. Some of them are looking for spirituality and Chabad is able to provide it for them along with care and kindness. Life isn't always about selfishness and taking... Thank you Chabad
18. Why do people go to India/Thailand
Isaac Balbin ,   Melbourne, Australia   (11.27.08)
Rivkah, you don't have a clue. I can personally vouch for the number of neshamos that Rav Gavriel and Rivkah have lit, I was in that house two weeks ago and have been there since they arrived in India. You have no idea of their mesiras nefesh for yidden. Theirs is avodas hakodesh, and your comments are devorim b'tailim (bimchilas kvodech)
19. #1 Amen
Zvi   (11.27.08)
20. I repeat my plea...Please Chabad leave the hell holes
aL   (11.27.08)
ASAP. We need you alive..We need you in America Canada Australia, New Zealand, Israel. These are free countries with the rule of law. I see the torment I see the pain. I live amongst Lubavitch Chassidim. They are worried for their children who are in the hell holes of the world. Its time they come home. This is insanity. There is no kedusha in being in places that are not free. Those Jews (Israelis, fun seekers, joy riders, shiksa kreechers, drug buyers, backpackers etc ) who wander to these hell holes should be forewarned. You do so at your own risk and peril. The great Lubavitcher Rebbe understood the dangers. He told his people to fan out accross the great America. It was America that allowed him to flourish and thrive. He would never allow for this madness of having his Chassidim fan out around the hell holes of the world looking for any two bit wandering Jew with a need for a latka and a dreidel. Its time we Jews return to Yiddish seicel. Chesed starts at home. The real losers end up being the elderly Lubavitchers who are left by their wandering children doing kiruv. I could go on and on. I am just sick with worry for these two precious souls. May they be spared with G-d's help.
21. I wish the Rabbi's family the safety, and escape unharmed.
Sami ,   East Jerusalem   (11.27.08)
What this militant group is doing, is horrible, despicable, and has no justification whatsoever.
22. #20 ur post indicates u know nothing about Chabad...
(11.27.08)
they do and are doing important work. unlike you they do not judge our fellow Jews who have by deliberate action or generations long lack of knowledge fallen away from Judaism. While the Rebbe was alive they worked in all corners of the world doing holy keruv work and fortunately for all of us they continue doing holy keruv work... May Avinu SheBaShamim protect them and especially may he protect and rescue those who are currently in grave danger.
23. Come home Safe
Arielush ,   Ramat Ha Golan   (11.27.08)
Our prayers are all with these good people. At times we should put personal feelings and politics aside and just vote for safety.
24. #22 i am not goping to argue with you..
aL   (11.27.08)
You obviously know more than I. I simply call it as I see it. I see pain, torment and a belief that borders on delusion and idol worshiping. I want these kids alive in a free country. You my friend I nominate to goto to Africa where you can teach Kabbala to the malpehs. Chabad has left Yiddishkeit long after the Rebbe Z'L left us.
25. Islam has nothing to do with these kiddnapers.
Palestinian   (11.27.08)
It is our duty all as Muslims to speak out against these bastards who are destroying all what our religion is about. Islam is innocent from these people and as the Quran says: "5:32 On that account: We ordained for the Children of Israel that if any one slew a person - unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land - it would be as if he slew the whole people: and if any one saved a life, it would be as if he saved the life of the whole people. "
26. OP
TOMAS ,   BSAS,ARGENTINA   (11.27.08)
IDF STORM THE PLACE JUST LIKE ENTEBEE!
27. To all the stupid tb's that attack me for wanting to protect
Rivkah   (11.27.08)
the Jews from fallen apostate Far East nations that despise the Judeo-Christian God of Abraham...READ a worthwile tb...#20 from aL. The hatred of the God of Abraham in Far East countries is an indication God prefers his children and blessings to be elsewhere. When Indonesia burned down hundreds of Churches, they got judged with a tsunami. Go God Go, Get em Get em. #5 Irmo: stuff it. You let the doctors sedate your father into a coma for nearly three years because you want him to die. I tell you his is a prisoner and you and your brother do not care. The Lord rebuke you both.
28. GOD?
david ,   Jerusalem   (11.27.08)
I found very funny how people tend to say: may God help them and rescue them. and what about if they are all killed, what would you say? Or where was GOD when the bullets run and killed 100 people? WHERE? where was GOD in the Shoa? WHERE? I found it very funny how the human mind tricks itself, if things go well you say: god was there. if it was wrong you blame god and say HE wanted to take this angels to heaven.... I just hope the idf will rescue them just like in entebee.
29. Ynet u do realize that according to Israeli internet law..
Ami Israel   (11.27.08)
you are responsible for the dribble that Rivkah writes and you print on the site. You do remember that according to that law any one of us who feel that her inappropriate language is hurtful can file a suit against you. Think about it...is it worth it? how about you just give this crazy lou-lou a rest and tap her off the page?!
30. Al! (20 and 24) I live in Israel
(11.27.08)
you obviously live in Ah!merica Enough said! :)
