1. They were tortured before being murdered.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.01.08)
And they were murdered on the first day of the attack, bound & shot in cold blood, excecuted. This according to Indian doctors who examined the victims - the Indian doctors said they were sickened by the signs of torture, that in their years of experience, they had never seen anything as horrible.
2. With-holding the Israeli flag from Jewish martyr victims
Rivkah   (12.01.08)
because they are not Israeli? Doesn't the Israeli flag with the Star of David symbolize more than Israeli citizenship? Isn't it world Jewry since world Jewry does so much for Israel?
3. 1 Terry: What was done, exactly? What torture?
Rivkah   (12.01.08)
I ask you to share this information, not as a voyeur, but because knowing what to expect when such attacks occur is prudent information. People should fight being tied up, so that the killers are forced to kill them right off. There is no hope with such terrorists and people need to know the gruesome truth to understand that. I searched out the horrific truths of Nazi Germany for many years, so I would understand what savages human beings with a hate agenda can be. History repeats unless it is relearned in each generation.
4. #1 Terry can you give us a link to the
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (12.01.08)
site you read this?
5. The picture
Talula ,   Israel   (12.01.08)
The above picture of Gavriel and his son is heartbreaking - it's too traumatic for words what has happened to this lovely family. Bring them home, and let them rest in peace here.
6. I read the report in JihadWatch this morning.

8. Is there another Holzberg child?
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (12.01.08)
Besides little Moishe I have heard conflicting stories that the Holzbergs' had another child. One story said that they had another child that died at age 3 yet another story said that their older child was alive yet sick in an Isreali hospital. Does anyone know the true story?
9. Thanks Terry and Jonathan.
Joe ,   Ohio, USA   (12.01.08)
After reading those articles words just fail me. I've never been able to understand mans inhumanity to man. Never will

11. I would totally adopt him - he's adorable.
Kim ,   Israel   (12.01.08)
12. #7 That article says nothing.
Talula ,   Israel   (12.01.08)
13. To YNET. The Survived Childe isnot more than..
Mr Mohamed Juma ,   Sudan   (12.01.08)
The child which you show his picture here isnot more than the hundreds of palestinian children which you kill thier parents and around people each day.. Look at the pics of the palestinian people
14. #13 OK, we are looking, and?
Talula ,   Israel   (12.01.08)
it seems we have the same cold indifference as you do when you look at this baby who is crying for his murdrered mother. Palestinian children are no more entitled to both parents than a Jewish child.
15. #5: I think the Islamists out there LOVE it
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (12.01.08)
They can't make themselves happy, so they will do anything to spread the misery. They are as much a victim of their illness as the rest of us.
16. #13 Go away, you have no heart
Elle ,   NY   (12.01.08)
You really have no clue what goes on in the world around you. We don't need nor appreciate your ignorant comments at a time like this. Just go away...
17. Reports of Torture and News Sources
Brana Lobel ,   Israel   (12.01.08)
There are conflicting reports. 1)Indian doctors are quoted somewhat out of context. Not referring to specific Israeli victims. Possibly this is mistaken reporting. (the Rediff article). 2)A Chabad rabbi talked to a terrorist with Mrs Holtzberg speaking in the background. (A-7).When? She was alive at this point. 3)Zaka volunteers state that they protected the bodies from autopsy which is against Jewish law. I believe Zaka because they have no reason to misstate and every reason to tell the truth. One must assume therefore that since the bodies were at the site the Indian doctors were mistaken or misquoted. They could not have been referring to the Jewish dead inside the Chabad House. No one from the outside saw these bodies until Friday. 4)One woman spoke by phone regarding rescue from the Chabad House on Thursday according to reports. Further, writing as someone who worked a long time in the health field, no doctor who works for any amount of time in an emergency room is spared from extremely horrible sights, whether from accidents, fires, etc. as well as mayhem so these reports of "horrors" are questionable as they are so vague. Maybe there was torture of the people at Chabad House and maybe not, but one cannot deduce which from the reports so far. Besides being a horrific tragedy, this has been a very confused and confusing situation.
18. heartbraking
heart ,   israel   (12.01.08)
I look at the picture of this small boy and it I feel so terribly sad! What a hartbraking image! I wish him all the best and that he can grow up with a lot of love and care and can somehow get over this traumatic event!
19. #13 Also
Talula ,   Israel   (12.01.08)
before you dare stick your nose in here. You should worry about what's going on in the Darfur region of western Sudan. Oh!!! so easy to look outside of your ravished and torn country and forget what’s going on there. Get a life!
20. #13- that because of palestinian terroists
yehudah ,   haifa,israel   (12.01.08)
Palestinian terrorist use civilians as human shield becuase they know that idf makes any effort to prevent any civilian casualties. The palestinian terrorist are exactly like mumbai terrorists, they don't give a dam about civilians not even palestinian ones.
21. #13 You can't say ANYTHING to us!
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (12.01.08)
Ever heard of Darfur? Clean up your own mess before criticizing a situation you know at best from propaganda, not from facts. You disgust me.
22. Other Holzberg Children
Debbie ,   Jerusalem, Israel   (12.01.08)
To #8: It seems that the Holzbergs H"YD lost one child (a 3yr. old) several months ago, to the same genetic disease for which their baby is hospitalized here in Israel.
23. All Jews should make Aliyah.
Kev ,   London   (12.01.08)
24. They should not be spared
shan ,   India   (12.01.08)
I hope as our heart bleed seeing the kid crying for his mother, the world cant rest till we punish these demons and their supporters
25. To number 20, no Palestinians are freedom fighters!
Palestinian   (12.01.08)
Different perspective on this one, but the fact is that Israel and the Haganah before that, killed many many more innocent Palestinian peasants, depopulated villages and towns in a delibrate policy to create a state to settlers and immigrants. This is the fact...
26. All children are precious to us. Those whom dad's are killed
Palestinian   (12.01.08)
by IDF and counted as collateral damage!, or those who are killed and have died in the first intifada when people had no guns or nothing, and yet somehow the IDf managed to kill 1200 people. This is a reminder that terrorism is the greatest evil, whether it is carried by individuals with radical views, or by a state with extreme views against the natives and origianl inhabitants of Palestine.
27. Arabs shouldn't be in israel land anyway 13
harry lavoe ,   orange county   (12.01.08)
Thats calling the kettle black 13. Islamic governments are far more cruel. In iraq captured insurgents were only threatend by interogaters with deportation back to their countries of origin and they sang like j birds. They knew the americans would act under geneva. TIME FOR CHANGE !!!
28. #25 Cry me a river
Talula ,   Israel   (12.01.08)
We have the right to live here. You do also (a bit) - but the fact is you REFUSED to live side by side with us - war broke out - you lost - and now look what you got? A big FAT ZERO! Ohhhh should'a given it a bit more thought, huh? You COULD go and live in Jordan. That IS the homeland of the Palestinians. But they don't want you either. Bummer.
29. To #26, the original inhabitants of palestine were Jews
dave ,   uk   (12.01.08)
30. Out thoughts too to the Indians who have lost loved ones.
rebecca ,   modiin   (12.01.08)
Rather than argue about the merits or lack thereof of Palestinian terrorists children, now is the time to add the Indian victims to our thoughts.
