Last election, Labor and Kadima did a good job attracting Sefardi votes, and since then did a good job of alienating them. If those voters were already turned off enough from Likud to switch, they may be looking for a new home. Shas is strongly for a "welfare state", and hawkish but not as insanely as some of the far-right parties (some would say that Shas is actually quite dove like). They had one 17 seats before, so 18+ isn't impossible.

Even though I never voted Shas before, I see Shas as the only party in Israel to actually do what it promises to do.

Shas has being politicizing religion for a long time now. Now we see that there are no limits to that. What Rabi Ovadia Yosef,the mentor of Shas, is saying to the voters now is: IF YOU HONOR G-D VOTE SHAS.

It's quite sad that a party with religiously oppressive views, could in fact gain such control in Knesset. Pretty soon we may all be honouring god. Whether we want to or not.

Since the Ethnic Cleansing of Gaza, Labor and Kadima compete for who is more corrupt and who will support Abbas more, as the security situation of Israelis gets worse. No one should vote for any religious party. The two greatest dangers in the world today are 1) religious fanaticism and 2) global warming.
