alexi   (12.05.08)
Afgter do nothing in gaza while israelis have their legs sliced off, and then heroically cleanse a hebron house of yoiuung israelis settler supporters, now he his going to destroy a few terrorist homes. Big bloody deal. The arabs are really intimidated by this action. This is our most decorated soldier???!!!He and olmert are like twins. Since all my know my views of olmert as a dumbelll and coward, my indictment of barak is severe. Israelis cannot understand his lack of action and passivity. He does nothing. This goes back to his PM days. He takes no action. The arabs laugh and mock him.

4. Why does it take so long? It's ridiculous.
Michael ,   Toronto   (12.05.08)
It's been six months since that first terrorist murdered those eight teenagers.
5. Razing homes???
The right thing ,   USA   (12.05.08)
Raze homes with their families in it, and the community too. That is what the enemy of yours would have done to you. Don't you know the Muslim mentality as of yet? After the Mumbai, India attack? Learn from your enemies and do to them same thing before they get a hand on you and do it to you. My Jewish brothers WAKE UP before it's too late.
6. Barak, go back to wearing that dress...
Etoile ,   Montreal, Canada   (12.05.08)
It is too late now to prove to us that you are a real man.
7. Will he order destruction Hebron Jewish terrorists homes?
Moise   (12.05.08)
Lets waite and see!!
8. Barbaric
Marlene N. ,   New York City   (12.05.08)
This policy that Israel has for decades is beyond subhuman. These families have nothing to do wih the acts of the people in question who drove the bulldozer. Did Israel knock down the family home of Yigal Amir after he assassinated Rabin? On the contrary, he has conjugal visits in jail with his wife. It is truly heartbreaking and almost unbelievable that a society who claims to be so humane is one of the most inhumane on the face of this earth.
9. expel them

11. Why not just confiscate and sell them?
P ,   Philadelphia   (12.05.08)
Is destruction really necessary or useful when the houses could be sold?
12. Stupid policy... Will ensures that the whole family

13. barak a politician not a leader
elie   (12.05.08)
14. Dilemma
Avinoam ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (12.05.08)
Does this serve justice? Does this prevent future attacks? Honestly, I think this act is mere vengeance. And I have no problem with that, if the target is correct. I'm not sure targeting the families is correct, but I'm not convinced either way. On the other hand doing nothing seems wrong. Maybe someone can solve my dilemma.
15. The sincerity of our “peace partner.”
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (12.05.08)
In the wake of the massacre of Israeli seminary students in Jerusalem on march 2008, Abbas released for Western and Israeli consumption a condemnation of the terror attack. But Al Hayat Al Jadida, official daily newspaper of Abbas’s Palestinian Authority, praised the killer as a “holy martyr.” In recent days, the paper has promoted a week-long “wedding celebration” for the killer, to mark his reception into heaven and his marriage to the 72 virgins promised holy martyrs. 16. #7 Exactly! The terrorists who ran amuck
lydia ,   Brisbane, Australia   (12.05.08)
in Hebron and set fire to the homes of innocent Palestinians, terrorized and stabbed innocent civilians. The terrorist who discharged a loaded weapon in full view of the security services and seriously wounded innocent civilians. In the interest of collective punishment we shouldn't forget those who supported the actions of these terrorists they too should have their houses demolished. Lets wait and see what happens.
17. barak, the has been paper tiger.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (12.05.08)
18. Wake up Israel
Reuven ,   Jerusalem Israel   (12.05.08)
Demolishing settlers homes who is her citizen building the state is more important than demolishing a terrorist home who is against the state according to the Law of democracy in Israel.
19. They should demolish Barak's house.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.05.08)
But if you consider that Labour is Barak's political ''home'' then I guess he already demolished it.
20. TERRY : superb idea
(12.05.08)
21. The army akreay said it was useless
Adam Keller ,   Holon, Israel   (12.05.08)
The army appointed a high level commisision which investiagated the method of destroying the home of a family as punishment for something which they did not do, and for which the person weho did it was already punished with death. The army found this method does not work and only increases hatred.
22. barak is cooked; farewell within 2 months
TRUMPELDOR ,   eurabia   (12.05.08)
you will not be missed...
23. THAT'S WHAT BARAK CALLS IMMEDIATE & SWIFT JUDGMENT ?
MOSHE ,   US   (12.05.08)
24. I agree with #7, What about the Hebron Terrorist's Homes
Moshe Cryan ,   TA   (12.05.08)
We must show that under Israel's democracy we treat Jews and non-Jews equally, so the family homes of Hebron terrorists should suffer the same fate. That will also teach the parents who raised such horrible children a lesson as well.
25. #7 #16 not all violence is terrorism
Avinoam ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (12.05.08)
I don't like the settlers actions in Hebron. I wouldn't however label it as terrorism. Violent. Lawless. Racist. But not terrorism. The difference lies in the intent. Settlers want noise. Terrorists want casualties.
26. Barak Is As Honest As The Day Is Long
Lawrence Tendler ,   Safed Israel   (12.05.08)
And it's a bloody short day today...
27. #25 terror is horrible, you'd prefer racism & murder?
observer   (12.05.08)
28. #27 Death by firing squad or by hanging?
Avinoam ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (12.05.08)
It's a silly question. My point was that you shouldn't mislabel things. It creates a warped view of things. Terrorism is a loaded word. You should only use it when it fits precisely.
29. #25,28 Attack against the innocents is terrorism
lydia ,   Brisbane, Australia   (12.05.08)
Your argument doesn't hold water. Explain your definition to the women and children who were terrorized in their homes by these settler hooligans.
30. #29 analogy: a rapist is not a terrorist
Avinoam ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (12.06.08)
This doesn't mean that I now condone rape. The fact that I would not be so heartless as to argue this point with a rape victim does not prove anything. Terrorism is not synonymous with evil, it is just one form. I in no way condone the settlers' actions. I will even say that on occasions it is indeed akin to terrorism. But my general feeling is that on the whole it is not. Terrorism is a loaded word, and should only be applied when it fits strictly.
