1. Iran
Roxy ,   Israel   (12.08.08)
If Iran says it will not stop nuclear production then why on earth are we still talking about sanctions and a carrot/stcik approach it is time to put that aside and play hard ball! Don't allow them to have the capability to develope the bomb stop them now while you still can! Or do therest of the countries in the world want to be held hostage to the rantings and demands of the Radical Islamists in Iran!
2. Give Obauma 3 months
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (12.08.08)
I think that the chance that Obauma can convince Iran to stop its nuclear program is slim to none. Yet we should give him three months from January 20th. Then after Pesach Israel will need to deal with Iran(and probally Hezbollah) by itself. I expect that this spring and summer I will be called to service and that my wife and daughters will be back in the bomb shelter.
3. # 2 I Suspect You Are Right
Lawrence Tendler ,   Safed Israel   (12.08.08)
Hi Judah,Hope for the best but expect trouble .
4. #1 - why would you attack early?
redmike ,   Tel Aviv   (12.08.08)
the best time to attack is just before they finish. If you attack when they first start building then you cost them a few weeks. If you attack 2/3rds of the way through then you cost them months. If you attack when they're finishing you cost them a few years. I still half suspect that Bush will order the attack and leave Obama to pick up the pieces. Mike
5. Larry,3#, were you here in the last war?
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (12.08.08)
Larry were you here in the last war? It was quite the experience. My wife gave birth to my daughter at the hospital in Safed just as the war was beginning. I took my wife out of the hospital after only 2 days and I drove like crazy to the Golan. Katushas landed all around us as we traveled from Safed to Rosh Pinna and then past Mahanayim. Then my wife and our new baby went to the community bomb shelter. I put on my uniform and hitchhiked to my army base near the border. I didn't see my wife and baby for the next 30 days. Still I would rather have to go through all of this again in order to stop Iran and their Hezbollah puppets.
6. Attack !
Invicta ,   Europa   (12.08.08)
No one is going to attack Iran. Forget all your posturing and romantic tales of martial exploits. The US and Iran will hold talks mindful of the disaster that was / is Iraq. There is no stomach for heeding the wailing and lies from the war lobby in the US and in Israel. Those days are done for now. Jaw, jaw not war, war. Iran, if it ever achieves tha ability to build the systems to deliver these supposed nuclear warheads then all that will happpen is a 'balance of power'. Most in the world and especially the beleagured Palestinians would welcome Israel being held to account.
7. Iran is present at our borders.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (12.08.08)
The terrorist movements Hizbullah and Hamas are both Iranian satellites. We should fight and beat to the ground the Hizbullah first and then Hamas, so that when we will have to deal with Iran the north front and the south front are pacified. Hamas continue to insist they are never going to recognize Israel and never going to make peace. So what is there to talk about with them? It is evident that negotiating with Hamas and Iran cannot lead anywhere. Hizbullah's strengthening in Lebanon means that Israel's mortal enemy, Iran, has a stronger presence on Israel's northern border. Israeli ex-Ambassador to the UN Danny Gillerman explained, "Weapons are flowing to Hizbullah, Lebanon is being torn apart and is bleeding... Iran is on our northern border, and, to some extent, on our southern border as well." The civilization of Islamic Iran : http://xrl.us/biz87
8. # 5 Yeah I Was Here For The War
Lawrence Tendler ,   Safed Israel   (12.08.08)
The whole duration.I was looking out of my Window thursday afternoon when I saw a rocket land,it didn't sink in to my Head until a few seconds later when another two fell about 200 metres from my home.I grabbed the Dog and the girlfriend and we hit the Shelter before you could say"Katyusha".The shelter was full of hysterical, nutty people so after about an hour I said to my Girlfriend " I am going home.I can't stand the craziness and would rather take my chances at home." And so it was for the next 32 days.We often heard Rockets whistling past the window followed by the expected explosion ,but thank G-d all was well.I even enjoyed the situation after a while strangely enough. Many people fled the North and I can't blame them. Our Hospital in Safed was hit more than once.
9. # 5 I Remember The Worst Feeling
Lawrence Tendler ,   Safed Israel   (12.08.08)
for me at the time was not the rocket Fire and frequent Sirens which made a terrifying sound. It was the feeling that we were abandoned by the Government and that the War was going badly.Even though I come from England and this kind of thing was new to me,I eventually adapted.Just before the ceasefire some soldiers knocked on my door(after 32 days of being on my own). They asked if we were alright and I honestly did not know whether to cry or laugh.
10. # 5 I Nearly Forgot
Lawrence Tendler ,   Safed Israel   (12.08.08)
By the end of the 2006 Lebanon War I was a bag of nerves.
