1. JESUSALEN
cristian ,   bs as arg   (12.08.08)
if you say that jesus´followers had no knowledge and did not attain supernal wisdom, then from this song you can see that jesus´followers beheld wisdom, and knew those things they recited, one said, the other said, and one word was not said before the other, but rather they all said in the same rhythm and THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH was in the mouth of each and every one,and the words were all ennunciated as though they emitted from one mouth, most certainly, they all noticed and perceived the supernal wisdom, and were familiarized with these lofty particulars and THE SPIRIT OF TRUTH was in the mouth of each and every one.

3. #2 Yes, *obviously* a mainstream community watch
Roman ,   Lod, Israel   (12.08.08)
Is the *exact same thing* as a group of violent idiots founded by Meir Kahane. Obviously training people in first-aid and basic defensive skills is the same as "Every Jew a .22" while praising violent attacks conducted by its members. Yes, *do* note the sarcasm.

5. After the fact "rescue", or preemptive self-defense?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (12.08.08)
"Rescue" units may be redundant, since local authorities will always be involved in rescue. But how about training to reduce the need for rescue? Jewish youth should all receive some form of self-defense training, and young adults should also be encouraged to learn. Krav maga might be appropriate, but any form of martial arts would be useful. Confronted with aggressive Muslim youth, for example, today most can only run or take it. That only invites yet more harassment. I'd rather see a generation of self-confident Jews with heads held high than heads held down in fear.
6. good 2 read about local Jews empowering themselves...

as opposed to 'belly-aching' about how the State of Israel should take care of them! number 2...really get a grip old bean! and number 1 we are the mighty! mighty! Jewish nation! we have beat out and survived The Babylonians, The Macedonians, The Greeks, The Romans, The Christians and The Nazis...all the while believing in the one and only TRUE GOD! In other words my dear Argenticne Christian Friend...we don't need to worship a dead god in order to survive... we are under the protection of the God of Israel our watch words are: "Shema Israel, Adoshem Elokaynu, Adoshem Ehad!" (Listen oh Israel, God is Our God, God is One!) and our security services motto is: "Shomer! Shomer! Israel!" Wishing all a lovely bright day!

Shira   (12.09.08)
Will these units include women, or will they exclude them as ZAKA does? (Disclaimer: ZAKA does wonderful and much-needed work. I do not intend to malign them in any way. But I do think that it is a pity that women cannot participate.)

look-i went to brooklyn college when the black kids took over the student center and became very belligerent towards the jewish students.the jdl with the rebbi walked in and shook the place up.yes there was fighting but for the first time ever jewish students didn't have to take it!so don't knock the jdl.you have know idea what and who rebbi khane was(before he got involved with israel).he gave kids a sense of "fight back"and you"don't need to take it".that is what you israeli will never understand since you never lived it.

I don't know where you live but here in Israel besides ZAKA there is MDA (Magen David Adom) HATZALA I agree with you all these units do wonderful and much needed work. Of the three only MDA takes has women volunteers. So if you feel a need to volunteer please consider doing it via MDA or if you don't live in Israel do it via your local services.
