Israel shouldn't give anything to Abbas because he says one thing to the Palestinians and another to Israel and the West. Abbas tells the Palestinians he will insist on an unlimited return of refugees and tells Israel and the West he wants a just and agreed solution for the refugees. He lets the West think he is open on other issues to compromise and tells Palestinians the opposite. Abbas tells us what he must have but has no concessions to offer in return. He fools everyone by implying that he does.

This makes the picture clear. 200-300 prisoners at a time is ridiculous. There is no PR advantage and no satisfaction from the other side, while we suffer great risk to security. How many prisoners has Israel released so far? And how does Abbas respond? "I want them all"! Abbas is a very smart man. He uses negotiations and an offer of peace he cannot deliver to demand more and more concessions from Israel while giving nothing in return. Every time he receives something, he finds something else to demand and declares Israel to be against peace if it disagrees with the new demand. How long will it take before Israeli negotiators realise what his game is?

Releasing terrorists imprisoned for killing and harming Israelis is to say that our lives as Israelis are worthless and of no consideration. Certainly Abbas thinks this way, and it seems that in part Olmert,Barak and our High Court agrees with him as well. You'll never see the politicians and judges releasing dangerous criminals who could ever harm them, their families or the rest of the elites here. Let the common man bleed to death in the street as long as we they get money from their friends abroad.

As for Gilad Shalit he can rot in hell as far as this regime is concerned. They have done zero to get him back but since he was snatched Olmert has released approxomaly 1000 terrorists in goodwill gestures and has asked for nothing in return. At the same time Abbas keeps demanding the next gesture and Olmert delievers on deamdnd and Hamas keep reminding us they have Gilad and are not even going to permit him Red Cross visits.
