It seems that the office of President of the State of Israel has become an office specifically tasked with embarrassing both the State and the citizens of Israel. I say save some money and get rid of the office as it appears there are no longer any good men or women to fill this position or at least none that can rise up from the kenneset.

The Saudi peace initiative is the cheapest out for Israel, which actually should be either driven back to the 1947 borders originally assigned to it or simply kicked out of the UN as the worst international lawbreaker since 1948. So the Saudi initiative is bending over backward to accommodate a nation that does not deserve nationhood.

Actually, Israel's "originally assigned" borders include Judea, Samaria, the Golan and what is now Jordan. These lands were stolen by the British Colonialist forces and given to the Arabs as a reward for fighting the Turks, for increasing British control of Middle East oil.

What kind of peace proposal is this when Jews and non-Jews have to debate if it's really a peace proposal or not? If the Arabs are unwilling to clarify whether this plan leaves Israel's demography as it is then Israel should pay no attention to it. Isn't the president supposed to stay out of politics. Why do they chose career politicians anyway. They used to appoints prominent scientists, artists or professors. That is how it should be.Peres should keep his mouth shut on political issues.

I think you a need a good course in History. Your history seems full with errors. Israel don't want any more palestinians to become "israeli arabs" otherwise israel would have annexed West Bank and Gaza. but ourselfishness doesn't allow to do that. We don't want to let them go and have their own country nor make them citizens of the state. We have terrorized them since 1967 so they leave the country and have the land for ourselves.
