I do not know that I would pull the covers over my head and fluff the pillow quite yet. There *are* monsters that can disturb the sleep of the most secure polititurd.(an expression I have personally coined, and have never used towards the parties of the right, until this moment.) I don't get it. Likud has polls showing 35 seats and is in an upward direction. Is Bibi hoping that the Likud gets no more than 35 seats? Is he goign to start doing things that will attract no more voters, so as to keep Feiglin out? Because if he keeps getting poll results with more seats, Feiglins spot will still be realistic. Is he hoping to keep the Likud small in order to keep Feiglin out?

It seems that the problem Bibi has with Feiglin is that he is unpopular with the left. So what is the problem with that? Feiglin has stronger support that Bibi. No one likes Bibi, but he wins because he at least makes funny sounds that make him seem not entirely left wing. The majority of the country is sick to hteir stomach of Peres, Olmert, Barak, and all of the old school wannbes. But we aren't being offered any right wing candidates. And when we are, they get spit out by the twisted system. It seems logical (and democratically correct) that the candidates higher up on the roster should be the ones garnering the most votes. It also seems like it would be a simple, logical, strategy for success. For some reason, Israeli politicians manage to ignore popular opinion and still get elected. Bibi is firing the stronger candidate as a strategy to get elected.

After this disgusting move, I refuse to vote for the clearly undemocratic Likud. Feiglin should start his own party.

Maybey I will end up voting labor , at least I know they only talk and nothing else gets done. There is no reason to become a party member , because even those votes do not mean anything. It seems that on every level off government , even the in the smallest villages , everyone is turning into little dictators , screwing everybody with disregard to any law and order.

Since Feiglin is candid about his views regarding Eretz Yisrael, the rivals to the Likkud will attempt to convince the public that Likkud=Feiglin and vice versa. If the Likkud has to spend the days before the election on the defensive, their chances of winning the elections are nil. But the real threat of Feiglin is poised against Bibi personally. Nothing less than the ouster of Bibi as party leader and his replacement by Feiglin. While there are others in the Likkud who aspire to the same goal, none are as open about it as Feiglin. Any rational politician would have done the same as Bibi. Yes it was a trick, but it wasn't dirty.
