Michael ,   Haifa   (12.15.08)
5. This should help Livni
Aaron ,   Baltimore, USA   (12.15.08)
It is unlikely another right wing party will get the three seats necessary to cross the threshold, and if they do, it is likely to take those votes from Bayit Yehudi resulting in their not corssing the threshold. Either way, this benefits the "left" side of the spectrum. It seems that ideologues of all flavors do not understand the math behind proportional representation (poor teaching in school, too much American influence, whatever)
6. Don't waste your vote
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (12.15.08)
I have nothing against Baruch or his party yet I would not waste my vote on him. He has run in other elections and he always comes short of the neccessary vote numbers for a Knesset seat. The 25,000 or so that might vote for him should instead vote for the Jewish Home party, Likud or Lieberman.
7. #6 Judah, Golan Hts. - ISRAEL
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.15.08)
You're right, of course, but you have to admit he would liven up the Knesset. A few speeches by this guy & Tibi & his friends would have a stroke.
8. well if barak can do it,
eliezer ,   jerusalem   (12.15.08)
and he is certainly an idiot, so can Marzel and Wolpe
9. He will not make it
Nadav ,   Misgav   (12.15.08)
I remember his stupid spot last Time: "Achmid Tibi, I will be in the Knesset". Well Achmed was there.....
10. Just what we need, more insane fanatics
Chaim   (12.15.08)
11. To Marzel and Rabbi Wolpe
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (12.15.08)
If you really cared about the country you would be seeing the broader picture. I have all my esteem for such true Jews. It's only unfortunate that they will be wasting valuable votes (as has been lost in past elections) from the Likud. Likud, faaaar from the ideal party is the only real option as for now. Israel Beiteinu could join with Likud as well Even if you get a seat in the Knesset - what the hell are you going to change??? When the country id in coma, we need not deal with cosmetics
12. Extreme???????
CIA ,   NYC   (12.15.08)
Ha ha YNET crying wolf again! EXTREME! It don’t sound EXTREME to me, it sounds logical. The Israeli left are not EXTREME they are SUICIDAL!
13. to # 11
Norman   (12.15.08)
Sorry, Bibi is no different than Livni or Barak they will all melt like wax in front of so called and real pressure. The only good thing going for Israel that between these politicians there is no unity only backstabbing. Even a wasted vote for Marzel and Volpe is better than a Vote for Bibi.
14. It's about time!
Yehudit ,   Brooklyn, NY, USA   (12.15.08)
Finally somebody is trying to fight for the people and country and not for their own benefits.
15. excellent - more parties!
Ran   (12.15.08)
perhaps these two could EACH for a new party, then we can have TWO more parties - the names should be as close as possible to existing ones, to confuse the voters even more! /sarcasm off
16. No vote is a "wasted vote" if they meet the threshold
Steve   (12.15.08)
Those of you who are warning of a "wasted vote," well we heard this this same tune in the run-up to the 2003 elections wherein the right voted for Sharon and Likud. The same Sharon who ended up selling out. If we could be certain Mr. Netanyahu would not sell out to Washington dictates, fine. There are many warning signs that Netanyahu, like Sharon, will indeed sell out. If Rabbi Wolpo can meet the necessary threshold, I agree with Terry #6, it would liven up the Knesset. I've got a feeling the Knesset will need some livening up considering who is President-elect here in the U.S.
17. G-d bless you Rav Wolpe and Baruch Marzel
Alon Frank ,   Beth Shemesh, Israel   (12.15.08)
I hope you'll get in. Good luck!
18. 13 I strongly disagree
gabriela ben ari ,   jerusalem   (12.16.08)
THis time around voting for Likus is not voting for BIBI, but for the new more "righteous" roster that have been recently elected at the primaries, and I am referring to Feiglin et al. Yes, Bibi, is not much different than Livni, but there's a whole new list with Likud that looks pretty good, even at realistic places. The bottom line and the bottom fight will be between kadima and Likud, so who are we fooling by voting smaller parties? We'll be fooling only our egoistical desires to put our own choice in the ballots. What about giving up personal preferrences to national - bigger more urgent ones??? You can get it, that taking a vote from Likud means giving it to Kadima - OR YOU DONT HAVE THAT ONE CLEAR YET ???
20. Important!!!!!
Tuvia Schertzman,MD ,   Betar Ilit   (12.23.08)
How does one get in touch with the party? I can get him over the threshold.
