1. Barak 'undeterred' by possibility of Gaza op
Nava ,   California   (12.15.08)
Barak you make us all sick, shut up and get out.
2. When the Defense minister talks about economic sanctions...
Adam Eliyahu Berkowi   (12.15.08)
This scares me spitless. A defense minister should not even think about economic issues. That is political. The defense minister should be defending the country through the armed forces as directed by the political leadership. Next he will start talking aboput whether it is econamically advantageous to go to war. I don't blame him. He is paraphrasing Peres from a few weeks ago. And that scares me more.
3. There has been no ceasfire - action in March perhaps
redbourn ,   tel aviv   (12.15.08)
4. Barak says
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (12.15.08)
Who really cares what Barak has to say, here is a man that ran away from Lebanon, said we will respond if attack and then did nothing when soldiers were killed and kidnapped. Then stood by while Arafat attacked us.
5. Bla bla bla
Norman ,   France, Eurabia   (12.15.08)
How many times did Barak... maybe next time ;-(
6. Barak, Minister of Procrastination.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.15.08)
Or is that Minister of Inaction? How about Minister of Appeasement? Or Minister of Self-Interest & Opportunism? Anything but Minister of Defense.
7. Barak Just Talk
GloomBoom.com ,   Nashville, TN, USA   (12.15.08)
If you were going to do something, you would have done it by now. What a joke Barak is.
8. What does he mean "if" the truce is violated?
Raymond in DC ,   Washington, DC USA   (12.15.08)
Barak fools no one. He's like the deer in the headlights, standing inert while a truck heads toward him. "Israel, not Hamas, should take the initiative," says he. But Israel has yet to take the initiative. It is purely reactive, as Hamas chooses to raise or lower the level of aggression. Barak also poses a false choice - sitting and taking it vs a major operation. There are many options short of that major operation that would put a "price" on aggression from Gaza. But that would mean making a decision and taking action. Can't do that. Outsiders wouldn't like that. Besides, elections are coming.
9. Like he will grow a spine
Gee ,   Zikron Yaakov   (12.15.08)
Barak we know that you are a fraud and an idiot. You have proven it so too many times already. Just an FYI the Arabs are violated the so-called 'lull' every day. What a moron.
10. "...when we see fit..."
David ,   Hartford USA   (12.15.08)
So if rockets continue to fall on the south, we may, possibly, eventually, respond in a month or 6 months or a year or never, because being a dhimmi to the left AND to Hamas and Abbas is what Israeli leaders do best. Let's release MORE terrorists as another good-will gesture towards the two-faced Abbas. If I was PM or DF, I'd have another gesture to show to Abbas and Hamas- my middle finger. Too bad NO leader in Israel today has the guts and moral courage to do such a thing.
11. #9 It's Not A question Of Spine Or Lack
Lawrence Tendler ,   Safed Israel   (12.15.08)
of...Simply put,Israeli Leaders do not know when and how to keep quiet.
12. "If lull violated?"
Arie ,   BaGolan   (12.15.08)
I would be curious what barak refers o as a 'violation'. Obviously the daily barrage of qassams doesn't qualify! So what does?
13. Hey DURAK, they launched two rockets TODAY
Daniel ,   Formelry Israel   (12.16.08)
I'm sorry, I meant to say BARAK, but I was touch-typing, and somehow put in the Russian word for FOOL instead.
