1. What ceasefire? Only in Barak’s tiny mind!
Tony ,   New York, NY   (12.18.08)
Please, if you are planning to evict three hundred thousand Jews from Judea and Samaria you could at least think about removing the arabs from Gaza! Land for peace, We take Gaza and we get true peace. A very simple, pragmatic formula to insure the safety of Jews in the south.
2. I guess they had enough time to arm and fortify
Esther ,   Ofarim, Israel   (12.18.08)
while Olmert, Barak and Livni were talking restraint and sitting on their thumbs. What IDIOTS!!
3. Palestinians of Gaza Strip
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem - ISRAEL   (12.18.08)
I would suggest that masses upon masses of Palestinians of the Gaza Strip flood toward the Rafah-Sinai Wall and tear it down totally just like furious and opressed people tore the Berlin Wall down in 1989.
4. hey Abdel (#3)
er der   (12.18.08)
The only thing wrong with your 'analogy', is that the bringing down of the Berlin Wall was not a precursor for a bloodbath; which would, no doubt, occur. It has been said many times, but here it is again just for you: "If the Palestinians put down their arms, there would be peace; if the Israelis put down their arms, there would be no more Israel". Having said that, its the later of this mantra that would be your wish come true, right? You fool.
5. I agree with #3 100%
(12.18.08)
That the correct way to look at it.
6. 3 - would/could gazans live in peace and harmony with jews?
mike ,   israel (formerly usa   (12.18.08)
east and west berliners had no problem living together in as a result. gazans can't even get along with each other (they kill each other by the hundreds each year) much less with anyone else. and never mind the fact that their taliban way of life probably won't allow that sort of thing. minor details those. if only palestinians didn't hate your dream would surely come true.
7. Number 5 - nameless
frank thring ,   Aus   (12.18.08)
another fool, like abdel.
8. and so
Yisraeli   (12.18.08)
yes they have had 6 months to prepare and import plenty ammunitions gratis the "wise" men of the Israeli Government. No doubt they want to continue with as much quiet as they can get due to upcoming elections. I mean how would Labor and Kadimah look if the south is burning? No doubt Barak will try to buy them off just till after February 10th. Thereafter he couldnt care less, after all defending citizens has never been his priority, just his own image. But I dont think hamas will buy Baraks goods and will want to disrupt the upcoming elections and assure Abbas that they are there to stay. Ermm Hamas when you point at Tel Aviv will you try to go for Sheinkin St. Yes wasnt the expulsion of Jews and destruction of their settlements in Gaza such a wonderful act? Im sure TA one day soon will reap the benefits not to mention Ashkelon, Kiryat Malachi, Ashdod, Rechovot. Rishon, Bat Yam etc. all thanks to the visionary leftists of the country.
9. # 3: Don't insult people in (East )Germany...
Susanne ,   Germany   (12.18.08)
by comparing them with Palestinians. Tearing down the wall in Berlin was an absolutely peaceful act. There was NO violence. People in East Germany didn't threaten to eliminate West Germany. They didn't fire rockets and mortar shells. They didn't send suicide bombers. East and West Germans wished to live peacefully TOGETHER.
10. To All Those Who Criticized Me :
Abdel Karim Salim ,   Jerusalem - ISRAEL   (12.18.08)
I am trying to say beseiged Palestinians of the Gaza Strip should have free access to the neighbouring arab country of Egypt.I am not even hinting Palestinians should march with their arms northward toward Tel Aviv.Keep in mind that you are driving them to starvation, and definitely they will not give in to you, but rather they would,at the very least,be vengeful and vindictive toward those who use food and fuel as weapons...
