I have a friend who is madly in love with a Cohen. She thinks her maternal line is Jewish but is having great trouble proving it. Her great grandparents were communist and each generation grew up secular with secular marriages. The poor girl's life is a mess because the object of her affection quite properly wants to retain his traditions. You can be assured that, without a brit Milah, the boy cannot live a Jewish life. With one, he can chose to be religious or not. Without one, he can't chose to be religious. By refusing to have a Brit Milah, a parent is making the conscious decision to disallow Judaism in that boy's life. They are also abdicating an important parental decision to a child. How do I know? a covenant? The Apostle Paul thought there could be a covenant for Gentiles without the BRIT, but was he right? I don't think so. It is quite clear in the Scriptures that the covenant is everlasting and the BRIT is a sign of the covenant. Gentiles must become Jews in their hearts to be a part of the covenant which includes circumcism. Paul caused so much division by saying circumcism was not necessary when the Scriptures clearly say it is necessary. I think the reason Paul misjudged on that was because he thought the heart was the blood pump or seat of the emotions, not the head of the penis. There are two hearts on a man: the blood pump and the head of the penis which is heart shaped and has a hood that is circumcised or cut off as an outward sign of the covenant with Abraham. The Bible says the heart is desperately wicked and should not be trusted. That cannot be the blood pump seat of the emotions. It has to be the head of the penis which is vile and cannot be trusted. Paul did not understand God's word and he was not God, so he made a mistake on telling Gentiles they did not need the BRIT to be a part of the Promises of God to Abraham.

Taking without asking is stealing. A thoughtful person can conclude that the more recent Thou Shall Not Steal has abrogated the ancient covenant of the 8th day, in which a healthy normal body part is taken without consent.

WHERE the circumcism was to occur: the flap of skin on the head of the penis which Abraham had removed from his own play-pretty when he was in his nineties. I have to believe what Paul said on circumcism was either mistranslation from the original Hebrew or Paul was confused about GOD's instructions to Abraham. The instructions to Abraham were not spiritual, but of the physical body. Yeshua the Messiah obeyed this written commandments and was himself circumcised in the flesh, not the imaginary spiritual flesh around the blood pump heart. A lot of writings were considered for inclusion in the Christian bible, and perhaps some of Paul's writings should have been excluded since his position on circumcism is not in obedience to the commandments of God. Paul's version is clearly a commandment of men or of Paul.

If someone does not want to cut their child then I think the child will be cut later as the child will surely have more sense than the parents, and honor the Brit, the Mitzvot that were given to us a few years ago. The suffering of the innocent is an issue that mankind has always struggled with and is beyond this forum. However, it is a recognized question that is discussed in great detail; but by its nature is always painful even if an approach to understanding is proposed. As to your post #39, you yourself refer to Greeks in Greece, Egyptians in Egypt but yet refer to Jews in Israel. It is hard to argue with the fact that the reason Jews are in Israel has to relate to the Biblical connection of Jews to Israel established by God's promise/covenant in the Torah. David Ben Gurion acknowledged this as being the case. Without lessening the question of suffering, the fact of the Biblical promise of God that the Jewish people may be exiled from Israel but will return from all corners of the globe literally being fulfilled is unique and compelling. There is pain but also meaning to the ongoing saga of our People.
