1. stupid and insulting
Ben   (12.23.08)
of course they want to "maintain the lull" because this means 20 rockets a week and have Jews evicted from thier homes while Olmtraitor continuously releases prisoners. Rockets from gaza are not an attack anyway, its hamas celebrating Olmert & co still running the show here. Olmert not done yet, still have the golan to give away, and why not give them our tanks and tavors too, eh? A resort in TA for hamas maybe? Olmert probably already gave nukes to Iran by now anyway. Put him on a bus to tehran I say.
2. Serial bunglers.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.23.08)
That's the only accurate description of Israeli politicians since Oslo. The same mistakes, the same failed policies & the same result. FAILURE. They are doing in Gaza exactly what they did in S. Lebanon. We are allowing a major threat to develop, just as we did with Hezbollah. This is criminal negligence.
3. Hamas: to renew truce
Yonatan ,   Jerusalem   (12.23.08)
no Gilad Shalit no truce
4. Cess fire condition:
Little sweet me ,   Planet Hearth   (12.23.08)
The cess fire is between Israel and Gaza only. For any qassam/mortar shot over the border from Gaza. 3 days on the row with totally blockade. If more than 1 qassam/mortar a day have been shot over the border from Gaza. 3 days of totally blockade multiplied with the number of qassam/mortar shot over the border, and any form for power/fuel from Israel will stop for 3 days on the row. Otherwise they just can go and f… them self… Amen…
5. SUCKERS !!!
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (12.23.08)
Knowing by now the suckers and pushovers lacking any spine Israelis have become , they ofcourse will cave in. Meanwhile our populace is being drugged and kept stupid with senseless "reality shows" on the T.V. , not caring about the fact they are getting royally screwed. LIke the old saying goes one gets the leaders one deserves.
6. Hamas thinks we're fools.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.23.08)
I would like to say that he's wrong but all the evidence points in the other direction. We are being manipulated - an easy accomplishment for Hamas because our politicians WANT to be manipulated. It coincides with their own selfish interests. Who cares about the national interest? Who cares about the safety & security of the citizens? Who cares about long-term consequences? Certainly not the cretins who run this country. Now it seems that even Beersheva is within rocket range. Does that bother our gov't.? Evidently not. They'll gladly give Hamas another victory, allow them to become a bigger threat, as long as they get some perceived short-term political advantage.
7. Hamass couldn't keep the last one! Would you believe them?

Terry HAMAS THINKS WE ARE FOOLS Small correctin the title of your post should say HAMAS KNOWS WE ARE FOOLS In June BEFORE the ceasefire came into effect Hamas were saying on the record that this was a tactical move, for no longer than 6 months and they would continue to smuggle in weapons because resitence was their right etc. We are going to open the borders, sell them cement to build bunkers , stockpile fuel, food and other supplies so when the inevitable military operation does happen whoever is forces to order it then they will be in a much better position to cause casulties. Last time round to start with at least IDF soilders could look through their binoculars at Gaza and see terrorists preparing to launch a rocket but their orders were they were not allowed to do anything about it other than sit and wait for the launch. We are burying our head in the sand and allowing more and more predators to surround us and when we eventualy look up and face reality we will find we are now surounded by so many predators we cannot defend ourself and death is inevitable. OLMERT he wants to continue negotiating away the country right until the last minute in the hope he can push through a bad deal and get his coveted nobel prize. BARAK is just spineless, he is the soilder who forgot how to fight. LIVNI she wants calm because she desn't want to risk anything going wrong and it costing her votes. If there is no chance of a deal she will of course talk tough to try and appeal to the right but if there is calm she doesnt have to worry about that she is safe to talk tough but never having to proove just how tough she is untill after she has won an election and by that time its to late to decide we dont want her as PM. HAMAS want quiet because they know that any military operation is going to leave them severley weakened and possibly even give Fatah a chance to make a comeback in Gaza. Hamas can make any demand they want and if they are offering an extension of the so called ceasefire this regime will accept it. Its just amazing they havnt attached even more condtions.
9. Al-Zahar looks like Dracula..

Come to suck the life out of innocent Israeli babies.
10. in the minds of hamass, labour, kadima, and meretz
Arie ,   BaGolan   (12.23.08)
ONLY 5 to 10 rockets per day is the proper definition of a "lull." February is coming and a proper government that is concerned about OUR security will resolve these issues.
11. Hamas agrees to renw truce
Robert W Walker ,   Los Angeles, USA   (12.23.08)
I do not understand why Israel does not kill the Hamas leader ship. These pople must be put out of commission
