11. Forget the inept government! They dont care!
Freejew3 ,   Israel   (12.24.08)
We should start making our own missiles and fire back. Screw the government.....Olmert and Barak couldnt care about our safety! If the government refuses to act then the citizens have every right to retaliate on their own accord!
12. Time has come
Officer Miluim ,   Tel Aviv   (12.24.08)
Whilst I was delighted when we left Gaza I believe that the time has come to return. Unfortunately we have no choice. I spent year after year in Jabalya and I hated it. Now we have no choice we have to retake the strip, go from house to house and con fiscate all the weapons, destroy the tunnels, arrest all of the Hamas soldiers and take total conrol of the area. This will be a painful and costly exercise, I for one am ready to return. We cannot continue this situation.
13. To Ali
(12.24.08)
What siege? Money for rockets and guns is obviously not lacking. I guess it's more important to kill Jews than it is to eat. Or maybe you can eat bullets? You democratically elected Hamas, live with the consequences.
14. 30 Rockets hit Southern Israel
Roxy ,   Israel   (12.24.08)
It is about time this rotten government either leaves office with its head between its knees or grows some cahonies and returns fire into Gaza. This is war now not a lull, 30 rockets is serious and the gov. needs to react harsher, no other country would allow this kind of threat to hit its citizens daily. This gov is weak and must be put out of the Misery of the Southern residents! The entire nation must get behind these southern residents and force the gov to act or leave office!
15. #9 Ali
jacob ,   munich,Germany   (12.24.08)
Ali, that "only 2 Israelis shocked and one house damaged, has nothing to do with the "generous" action NOT to hit Israelis. It has to do with luck and your "friends" inaccurate shooting. So check cause & effect first. You had all supplies until HAMAS choose to act against Israel
16. Ashkelon mayor calls for ''tough response''
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (12.24.08)
From who? Silly man, he thinks there's a gov't. Mr Vaknin - WE DON'T HAVE A GOVERNMENT. Now go hide somewhere in a shelter & hope nothing falls on your head.
17. No more Christmas in Palestine. No. we make war.No Christmas

18. Is That A Rocket In Your Pocket Or
Lawrence Tendler ,   Safed Israel   (12.24.08)
Is it your pay -packet? Although the situation is not really funny one might as well make jokes because there is very little else one can do about it.
19. Israel and General Sherman
mike cato ,   USA   (12.24.08)
Once again, and I will never tire of saying this, Israel will disappear unless its "leadership" heeds the words of Gen. W.T. Sherman, Army of the Republic, US Civil War: "War is cruelty. There is no use trying to refine it. The crueler it is, the sooner it will be over." Gen. Sherman also said, "Every attempt to make war easy and safe will result in humiliation and disaster."
20. It is time to be proud and respond NOW !
AlbertoGA ,   St. George UT, USA   (12.24.08)
Yes Haverim this Nonsense comming from Gaza has to STOP. Also the Gov. in Jerusalem must change ASAP. The Israeli leaders now are a bunch of Pusycats
21. You must be joking.....
David ,   Israel   (12.24.08)
Now Barak is blaming the weather for not responding....., why don't you tell the truth about the 3 Hamas Generals imprisoned in Egypt who are included in a deal to free Shalit? This is the reason we don't respond and Mubarak put a veto on entering Gaza.
22. Israel is weak and pathetic
Al   (12.24.08)
No amount of self righteous BS will change that. You have nothing to sell.. You tell yourselves you have restraint...You have nothing. You have a poor frightened people with a sorry excuse of an Army waiting, waiting for a big bang where thousands will be dead. You play the victim, in the hope that the world will pity you. I have news for you no one gives a rats ass if you are alive or dead. So what are you going to do? Play dead and hope it goes away, or are you going to fight and live another day. You are viewed as a loser and no one cares for a loser. The entire world cheers a winner,..Israel is viewed as the nebby potz who hides in the bushes hoping the bully will disappear. Either fight or live or do us all a favour and commit suicide. This is too painfull to watch.
23. unbelievable
fish israel   (12.24.08)
Defence Minister is calling for patience and self-restraint, and plays a political card for the future election. Chief of Staff sells his shares before anoouncing a war. PM goes to interrogations like a regular hoodlum. Finance Ministry under investigation. And the country is happily watching late-night TV series...
24. The attacks are proof
E. Olmert ,   Cremieux, Jerusalem   (12.24.08)
That Israel must vote Labor and Kadima.
25. Thank you #22
Besalel ,   Kew Gardens, NY   (12.24.08)
Israel is impotent but claims to have a "headache."
26. to 9# u totely twisted the truth and u know it
(12.24.08)
i wish a qasam will fall on u'r house and then say it's a minor thing or that one of u family will lose two legs and ull say it's a small injure
27. Barak-deja vu
Sam ,   Canada   (12.24.08)
Recall that during the Camp David period with Arafat, Barak did little to respond to Palestinian violence and was thrown out during the next elections. This was the will of the people. That should be a clear message to the government about what happens to leaders who do not act.
28. War in the South
We're surrounded ,   Israel   (12.24.08)
Yes it is a war going on in the South of the country,I hope that the troops on our Northern Border are on HIgh Alert as well, because it is the perfect time for Hezbollah to act against us, especially when they see that our Cowards in Gov are allowing the civillians in Sderot, Ashkelon and other places in the south to be rocketed hourly and are doing nothing!
29. Ghetto Jew Mentality
Lawrence Tendler ,   Safed Israel   (12.24.08)
"son they are spitting on you ,every day" ....."no ma,it's raining" .
30. Enough is enough
Douglas Miller ,   Detroit, USA   (12.24.08)
Turning the other check doesn't work with Arab terrorists. They see it as another target opportunity. The murderous thugs occupying Gaza look at Israel's restraint as weakness, and will only escalate their violence. 1000's of missiles, rockets and mortars have already been fired at Israelis from Gaza even after Israel surrendered this land to the PA. To any normal person the Arabs are commiting acts of war. By not responding effectively to end these threats, Israel's government is allowing hundreds of thousands of her citizens to be terrorized and endangered. By not responding to this continuous aggression, Israel's goverment is politically irresponsible and morally bankrupt. Mr. Olmert, if you can't protect Israel, have the decency to step aside and let someone competent and caring do the job.
