2. Yes, you do destroy a whole school....
Andy ,   ramat hasharon   (01.03.09)
if it is used as a rocket launcher. Sorry, but that's what we must do. I didn't see anybody out there protesting its use as a rocket launcher. The board of that school is to blame as much as the Hamas.
3. It isn't funky town.

6. Oh Really !?!
gagging on galut ,   New York   (01.04.09)
Don't destroy the whole school you say. Yet destroy all of Israel is OK by them. Blow up a bus to get 1 soldier is OK by them. Blow up an entire restaurant to get 1 jew is OK by them. These animals party in the streets when our children are murdered by their "freedom fighters". Sorry - one missile and the school IS history. Israel left Gaza to get some peace and instead they get another front line.
7. To Chairman of School's Board
Zion Man ,   San Luis Obispo, USA   (01.04.09)
It is a shame to lose your school building. But where were your complaints when children in southern Israel were not able to attend school for months due to Palestinian rocket fire?...some it it undoubtedly coming from your school.
8. sanctions coming
Jerry ,   Boston, USA   (01.04.09)
Israel is rapidly losing international credibility. With attacks on civilian infrastructure like this, Israeli leaders are commiting war crimes -- and will likely be prosecuted. Such attacks will also galvanize the sanctions movement against Israel. It is becoming pretty clear that Israel is facing a major crisis in the long term, and will have a hard time surviving in current form. Sanctions will arrive, and a one-state democratic solution will be imposed.
9. Sanctions or
tjomasT ,   Phuket Thailand   (01.04.09)
To show utter disgust, to boycott any store that sells Israeli goods is more effective than a few boycotting the actual bloodied goods.. Re The so called war. This mirrors the American/Swedish/Jewish General Dwight Eisenhower`s mindset, who AFTER WW2, ordered over 3 million Germans, many of them civilians, starved and frozen tpo death in open camps. Not official history (yet). The victorsd who wrote the history omittes this small point.
10. Sugar
Peter ,   Seattle, USA   (01.04.09)
The Kassam rockets are unguided and fueled with sugar and nitrate. The 'warhead' is usually ammonium nitrate. Maybe we should sell the PA some MLRS and Stingers to even things up.
11. i hate israel
ivan the terrible ,   london uk   (01.04.09)
i dispair, more and more i come to hate israel...maybe this is someones intention. i cant beleive this has been happening for so long and no one lifts a finger. mail these items to the mainstream.and add that they are a bunch of warmongering c*nts!
12. A state without morals!
Mark ,   USA   (01.04.09)
This is outrageous! Bombing schools? The israeli millitary should be given a good response by the palestinians by killing each of the israeli soilders who step into Gaza. I do not blame the jews but i blame the zionists. Nobody in this world likes you except a few insane people. I guess you all know that. NOBODY LIKES ISRAEL!
13. No, you don't destroy a whole school
littlehorn ,   USA   (01.04.09)
I don't know if you've ever seen the launching pads for Qassam Rockets. I've seen pictures. They are extremely compact (Qassam rockets aren't very big either). They can be deployed anywhere, and as the guy said, he can't be sure it was deployed on his school, because this shit is so small anyone can do it while no one's looking.
14. Shame
Baruch ,   USA   (01.13.09)
The most Western-aligned institution in Gaza... possibly the most pro-Israel school there, VICTIMS of Islamists themselves... and you rationalize its destruction because some rockets may have been fired from its premises at one point. Do you honestly think they allow rockets to be fired from within with their facilities with their awareness. It goes to show you that Israeli hawks don't view Hamas as its enemy, they view the entire Palestinian people as their enemy - even when they're obstensibly allies.
15. Not in Israels interests
Walther ,   Amsterdam, Holland   (01.24.09)
Bombing this school is not in Israel's interests. Destroying this school is in the interest of Hamas. So logically they have fired a missile from it and IDF destroyed the place because of that. Israel is as much of a victim of the dynamics of the conflict as the Palestinian people is. I'm a fried of Israel, so I'm very upset about this. It is hard to defend such a thing. Hamas strategy works. Maybe it is time to think out other strategies to beat them. Ways that strengths the moderates instead of the extremists. But maybe it is easy to say from where I live.
