2. Haetzni has the good drugs
As if things were peaches and cream when Israel had settlements in Gaza. Don't you remember all those sniper attacks, bombings, protests, and so forth?
Israel controls Palestinians and the Palestinians don't like it. If you let them free than for the most part they will concentrate on living their own lives and not bugging you. If you have debates like this article, basically about what degree of domination is the magic formula that Palestinians will accept, you'll get nowhere.

7. Not even one Israeli soldier is worth it.
We can forgive the Arabs for killing our children; we can not forgive them for forcing us to kill their children, we will only have peace with Arabs when they love their children more than they hate us.

Co-existence with the Moslem is impossible one day the Arabs which living in Israel will revolt against us it is matter of time the only solution is two State Jordan for Arabs and Israel for Jews,

11. one thing Haetzni forgot
Haetzni forgot to mention that in this war Tel Avivians are waving pro-Arab flags and blocking the entrance to military airbases while "settlers" are fighting and dying.
If Olmert, Livni and Barak had succeeded in ethnically cleansing Judea and Samaria, not only would Tel Aviv be showered with rockets, but there would be no soldiers to fight.

15. Sean from Ireland and people who demand justice
This is a complex situation my friend .
Israel views itself as the aboriginals, not the occupiers. Look at the Bible and the history of the Jews and youll see why 4,000 years of our existence in this sole homeland of ours says we are the aboriginals. Not like the colonialists such as the british , whose white skinned lackeys took over half the world of non whites- from africa to India and asia, etc.
Therein lies the glaring difference. Israel is our aboriginal home, and India, the falkland Islands, and Canada is not in any way native to the British people. Comparing Israel to the colonial west and Britain as exemplar of colonialism is an incorrect comparison entirely.
2. If Israel gives Judea and samaria (ancient lands that the pc media wants to call the west bank) to the arabs currently living there, the remaining area of israel around Tel Aviv will only be 8-15 miles wide- No can do. Security will be non existent (look at gaza for reference when we leave areas of israel) Terrorism will go through the roof (see gaza example and the past 120 years of terror BEFORE there was a modern country of Israel). You do not know what it is like to be surrounded on all sides by fundamental islam. Israel lives in a turbulent neighborhood of dictatorships and monarchies combined with violent intolerant fundamentalist Islam. It doesnt get any better than that.
I hope that helps you see just a few points of view. There are many other points of view that are rooted in our Spirituality, our identity, .and our mission as Jews to help bring justice, light, peace, morality and consciousness to the world.

17. They *will* do it again.
"We’ll hit them so hard that they won’t dare do it again."
No, what will happen is that Israel won't hit them hard enough and long enough. The country lacks the political will to hit them nearly hard enough to do the job. In the end, "they" will do it again. Fast forward six months and see. Don't start what you can't finish.

20. Why the palestinians are mad...
The reason for all the anguish is simple. The israelis are cockblocking the palestinians with the wall. How angry would you be if you had plans to get 99 virgins and someone made it that much more difficult for you....in my opinion the israelis should stop being selfish....send them some more cluster bombs to play with so they can have the express lane...Also, make sure you spread it out evenly...from all the financial support theyve gotten over the years, we know those greedy people dont like to share.

21. operational difficulties
Look, military thrusts against arab guerillas are very difficult to do. US, Canadian, British, now Israeli encounter many difficulties as hezbollah and now hamas to a lesser degree pose.So it does not reflect on the military, though the public is impatient.
If you look at what has stopped guerilla armies in their tracks , see if you notice something here-
1) Saddam stopped iran in the 80 s war using scuds loaded with chemical weapons
2) US took a long time but one of their most deadly weapons was
a) collateral damge of bombs and artillery-they killed a lot of people with this type of weapons
b) using local guerillas against the guerillas
3) Russia used ss-19 rockets which clear city blocks not buildings and scared the hell out of the whole country killing whoever is there.
So, one can conclude that you have to fight gureillas on your own terms and not on their terms. Saying that your troops are trained in urban warfare misses the mark and may save a few lives but is not the correct strategy. How do you expect a soldier to beat IEDs, shaheeds, RPGs, antitanks, sniper, mortars, machineguns. so you have to use techniques that change what the hamas guerillas are looking for. Get the point-

22. Disengagement was the right thing
israeli citizens have absolutely no business in living in the gaza strip. And if they really want to, they can live under Hamas rule. The point of disengagement was to make a complete sepration from Gaza and if they attack, Israel can respond and treat Gaza as a seperate entity. If needed, I have no problem with the IDF retaining bases and positions in Gaza to protect Israel.

23. The Land of Israel is ours by Historical and Moral right.
The Land of Israel rightfully belongs only to the Jewish people. The notion of two states for two peoples in the land of Israel cannot be accepted as the land of Israel rightfully belongs only to the Jewish people and to divide our country would be an historic injustice. As it is well known, the conflict between Israel and the Arabs is not a territorial one. If it were a territorial conflict, it could have been solved a long time ago, by territorial concessions, which have been offered a number of times to the Arabs, and rejected every time… As to the legitimate rights of the Jewish people (3 parts): http://xrl.us/osjoz

But of the peace process. This war was on the horizon the moment Israel signed a deal with the PLO.
A Palestinian state will lead to war, Gaza the mini state lead to a mini war.

26. TRANSFER
It is done all the time and just as recently in Kosovo and Bosnia.
It is time for this suicidal deadly social experiment to be over.
No more land for peace, especially from the victorious. Only Jews are not allowed the civil and moral right to transfer their die hard, implacable enemies for their midst?
It is time for Israel and all Jews to declare their divine and legal right to all of the land---Jordan should pay very special attention.
The plan exists and it is the only fair, sane and executable one.
www.jerusalemsummit.org
Tell everybody.
The "palis" , the people, will finally get the money that has been stolen from them for decades by their leaders who wish to see the murder of Jews--- in either stages (Fatah) or all at once (Hamas, Iran).
Give the families $50,000 each AFTER they have permanently departed.
They will be rich emigres. and the countries protesting israel's right to self defense will be happy to take them.
Norway, France, Sweden, Indonesia, Germany, Iran--- so many countries love Jew killers.
.
The citizens of the countries that financially support pali (synonymous with terror and no different then any other country's war on terror) , especially America, should be outraged that $$ billions have gone into the coffers of these murderers. Really, this time, mean it when you say it: NEVER AGAIN!!!!!
G*d bless you Israel with peace, security, prosperity and most of all leaders that love you and your country and will end this suicidal madness.

|
27. Totally wrong!
The author's argument is totally spurious. Israel should not occupy Palestinian populated areas. We should get out of the West Bank. Our goal in Gaza should be to destroy Hamas completely. It is not our goal to occupy land that belongs to the Palestinian People.

Instead they focus on their belief that settlers and their settlements are the front line protecting the State's flanks.

29. I agree with this article
It is so obvious that the rocket attacks on Beersheva and Ashkelon are because of the Disengagment. Before 2005 they didn't have the power to do this. Now they do. We gave them land and they used it to attack us.

30. #2, wrong
The pals want all of Israel, from Jerusalem to the sea. How many different ways do they have to say it? You remind me of holocaust deniers who try to convince people that the nazis didn't do the thing they said they intended on doing, and had the resources available to do.
