Egypt announces Israel-Hamas truce plan     Reuters
1. Egypt announces Israel-Palestinian truce plan
If Israel trusts the International Community,it would be better off to sign it's own death warrant. Keep all land up and inclusive of Netzarim, establish a 1 1/2 km wide corridor running parallel to the egyptian border, control all crossings into Egypt and the tunnels underneath and make it subject to a future peace treaty, to be given back These international wisecracks only understand when it happens on their own door step. To keep their own muslim population quiet, everybody is shouting 'Stop' suddenly the world is concerned. Nobody bothered before about the hundreds of rockets raining down daily on the state of Israel.please do not trust any of them, only your own survival instinct Drive Hamas into the sea.

2. Only an idiot would agree to these terms...
... then again, who do we have at the helm?
Joe ,   Ramat Gan   (01.06.09)
3. No way
Hamas must be stamped out, can't leave this cancer to survive. If you do, it will come back again. Finish the job this time. The Palestinians will be better off for it.
Zardoz ,   USA   (01.07.09)
4. To No. 1. You can say it all again for me also.. (!!!))
Israel can't trust anyone now the rest of the way... They have shown themselves to the World. Zech;12; 1-9 is at the door. No 1. you said it.

Hahah that's a funny thing though, ISRAEL WILL NOT STOP the fight against terrorism!

7. The 2 Faces
It is clear the the Arab are divided into 2 camps. The first camp are the Egyptians, Jordanians , Palastenian authority, Saudi and some of the rich gulf states. They want to work with USA and Israel to find a peacful solution to the Plastenian problem. The other camp is Hamas, Syria and supported by Iran. Now in Israel I only see one camp. The killing and more killing camp and that is the honest truth.

13. to # 1 and # 4
You (and the acolytes) keep whining about how many rockets Hamas has fired. But what about how many LIVES the jews have taken? Worth the price, isn't it? Same as for Buch regime, who invaded and killed in the name of a stupid and aimless revenge against all muslims. Americans and jews are, in fact, calling terror acts upon themselves. Quite appropriate in these times, when people start to learn about all the Madoff & clicque's stealings. In the end, the Middle East terrorism was started by jews themselves, by killing innocent people. Same old story nowadays. Ask Obama-s right hand - Rahm - about his murderous father past.

14. To Hell with these clowns..!
It took years to finally do something about Hamastan. If, Israel gives up right now. It will be a HUGE mistake. Enough is enough...! To hell with these clowns dictating what Israel should do. Where was Sarkozy when missiles rained down on Sderot..? I did not see him crying to Hamas to stop the daily barrage...!

17. Nonsense Terms
Nothing short of a Egyptian takeover of central and south Gaza will work. North Gaza should be a buffer zone for Israel. International experts like say from the US who can't even keep illegal aliens and drugs out of the US. European monitors who cut and ran from Rafah not to long ago. http://ralphsrant1.blogspot.com
Ralph Levy ,   USA   (01.07.09)
18. Lousy terms, and what about Shalit?
Israel should not accept any tems unless Gilad Shalit is included.
Donna ,   TX   (01.07.09)
19. israel will surrender again
sounds like israeli goverment has had enough again and will not kill the enemy. another loss for israel against a smaller army than last time and israel has been defeated two times in less than three years. the government is injuring and killing its own for nothing.

20. Three-State-Solution + population transfer
War in the Gaza Strip has continued now over week, diplomats and demonstrations are demanding ceasefire immediately - war news and high-flown statements are following each other like they have done last decades. In this never ending story it was very refreshing to read an article of John R. Bolton published in Washington post 5th Jan. 2009. This former U.S. ambassador to the United Nations 2005-2006 has quite unusual idea to solve the Gaza conflict. Instead of empty statements and dead road maps he is proposing “The Three-State Option”. A solution where Gaza would be returned to Egyptian control and the West Bank would revert to Jordanian sovereignty. (Full article in http://www.washingtonpost.com/wp-dyn/content/article/2009/01/04/AR2009010401434.html?wpisrc=newsletter&wpisrc=newsletter ) I agree with Mr. Bolton about three-state solution. However it could be a bit further developed by making a buffer zone between Israel and hardliners in Gaza. From my point of view the best way to do this is to relocate population from Gaza some 50-100 km SW to Sinai. There is possible to build new infrastructure instead again repairing existing one. With good planning and implementing economical & social programmes it is possible also to create more sustainable economy than today's Gaza. Few days ago I wrote an article "Gaza War - Could Balkan history show way out?" which highlights population movements as pragmatic solution in cases when ethnic tensions are too deep to cure without generations long "brainwashing". (Full article in http://arirusila.wordpress.com/2009/01/01/gaza-war-could-balkan-history-show-way-out/ ) These thoughts are not pleasant or polite to highly idealistic diplomatic elite but maybe therefore this idea could work on the ground.

21. Proposal?? Hideous Joke
Tell the Egyptians and those who agree with that inane stupidity, to figure out something that Israel could live with. That is merely a step towards self destruction. Actually, it is doing the job Hamas is trying to do.
Ben ,   Monroe USA   (01.07.09)
22. How Can Egypt Be Trusted?
Every one of the Hamas arms tunnels started in Egypt. There is no way that the Egyptian authorities were unaware of this. How can they possibly be trusted?

25. Is this a Joke we are holding all the cards
They are looking for a Victory see our Rockets made them lift the blockade. This is not over till Hamas is GoNE! Egypt maybe should have thought of this before all the smuggling.
Levi ,   Israel   (01.07.09)
26. This is exactly what Hamas wants
Hamas barraged us with rockets in order to get the siege lifted. If Mubarak's proposal is accepted, then they have accomplished their goal. Who guarantees no more rockets in the future? Furthermore, Gilad Shalit's immediate release must be part of any proposal.
Free Gilad Shalit ,   Israel   (01.07.09)

30. Silly Buggers playing at,...
silly buggers. Egypt and France (and others I am sure) are working on an "unsolicited truce" between an abuse victim who decides to fight back against the abuser and the abusive factor who decides it is his right to abuse, regardless of the retalitory circumstances. Mental masturbation while thinking of an ugly goat. Sort of like me deciding what you would like for lunch and ordering while you are neither hungry nor in a position to consume what has been ordered.
