I urge you to internalize these important points: 1) the siege was in place in the first place because Hamas DID begin acquiring weapons and trained fighters in order to destroy Israel. Their stated goal and they were actively pursuing it. No country has to accept this. 2) The border crossings ARE one of the points of negotiation. Hamas isn't doing Israel a favor by coming to a negotiation and needs a cookie for being so nice. If they don't want to negotiate it will be on their shoulders. 3) Israel DOES NOT have to open its borders with anyone. That's the whole idea with sovereignty. You know that in Montreal where you tried to secede from Canada every 4 years. Let everything go through Rafah if they choose - but if Hamas wants to play, it will be by Israel's rules. 4) Israel CAN continue for many months, but like a REAL State, it works in the global arena, unlike Hamas which works on global jihad, untied to any intl law or human rights conventions.

This is nonsense...I mean you say Israel started the blockade only when Hamas got "elected"... So, they actually were "elected" by the people...It was the desire of the Gazans to have them rule. What a headline. Truce between Palestinian Authority and Israel. I'm of the impression that Israel is fighting Hamas; could it be that Hamas has also taken over the PA as well as Gaza? French hypocrisy and stupidity are overwhelming. As is reported Hamas is still sending rockets into Israel and Israel is trying to decimate Hamas. It seems that this is a French version of "truce". Better she should control her own Islamic peoples who are trying to kill and maim French Jewry.

Then there was the 2 tractor incidents in Jerusalem and again they shot the terrorist a couple times and he continued the rampage. They learned and in the second rampage they put 11 bullets in his head to stop it immediately. Finally there was the Mercaz Harav terrror attack. The dramatic reduction in terrori in Israel is due to the counter terror siege methods which the PAL brought on themselves along with its suffering. Murder, kidnapping, etc. are their virtues and they have mandated their own suffering. Now they must be fully destroyed. Nothing less is acceptable.

Sorry, but from time immemorial, you negotiate a cease fire with the guy who's shooting at you, not with some third party. What the tired old man Abu Quisling does in Ramallah has no effect. Hamas won the election and is the legitimate government.
