1. Has UN also coordinated with Hamas?
The Doc ,   Haifa, Israel   (01.08.09)
...to make sure THEY don't kill their staff and steal the humanitarian aid? Hamas has been preventing the distribution of aid from reaching non-Hamas members. Basically Hamas is taking care only of its own. Others - simple palestinians - can die! I guess that Israel is entitled to act similarly - OUR CIVILIANS COME FIRST! No terrorist or terror-supporting organization like the UN or rabidly racist and deceitful media can change that!
2. Boo-hoo
John ,   Chicago   (01.08.09)
I have a solution. Don't be there. If you are in a war zone you will get warred upon. So win, lose or don't be there. Bunch of cry-baby's.
3. What suffering?
Bernie ,   formerly Seattle   (01.08.09)
Muslims have been taught that it is good and proper to die as martyrs. We do them a dis-service by providing them with humanitarian aid. They need to be good Muslims and die as martyrs! Suffering is what they tearn for and crave.
4. COWARDS !
(01.08.09)
5. Ugly Israel
Libyan Guy ,   Italy   (01.08.09)
Killing and yet killing more but never enough to protect Democratic Israel ... monsters that are hiding nehind the mask of democracy. Morally ill Israel.
6. hijackings
Arie ,   BaGolan   (01.08.09)
I read this a few times, and again the admission by UNRWA and the ICRC that hamass has been hijacking the shipments are now being carefully glossed over or omitted altogether.
7. A trial of Jews - Perhaps I can help
Tomás de Torquemada ,   Castille, Spain   (01.08.09)
I have a vast amount of experience in trying Jews for committing that most heinous of crimes - being Jews! If the UN allows, I will be more than happy to assist them since the UN and I have the same goals!
8. UNRWA
Barak ,   USA   (01.08.09)
Hmmmm...I wonder if this is because it is a commonly known fact that UNRWA is staffed by 99% by Hamas?
9. UN & Red Cross
alan ,   dallas, Texas   (01.08.09)
More crap from organizations that don't see much of a problem in Darfur or Rawanda. What a bunch of hypocrites
10. Attacking UN is the next war crime
Belgian citizen ,   Belgium   (01.08.09)
Yesterday the Parliament in Flanders Belgium condemned the war crimes of Israel. The whole world should follow our example. Israel is governed by hate spreading leaders. What we read everyday here at Ynet from many Israeli contributers is pure racism and is not acceptable. Attacking the UN and the Red Cross is the most cruel war crime. Israeli responsibles must be punished by the UN tribunal.
11. Its a war zone
David ,   Jerusalem   (01.08.09)
All the coordination in the world won't turn a war zone into a safe place to be. What do they expect?`
12. Yet another UNRWA lie, hamas perpetrated the attack.
Johnny ,   Stockholm Sweden   (01.08.09)
This is a no-brainer.
13. UN STARVING CHILDREN IN GAZA...
christopher ,   paris france   (01.08.09)
The UN is starving children in Gaza ,so it can blame Israel. Palestinian children are the new suicide bombers. let them starve. I am fed up hearing about palestinian plight. Many people in Europe support the IDF and Israerl , but, our voices are not allowed to be heard by the" EU communist-Islamo facist regime in place in Belgium."
14. Maybe I shouldn't say this ....
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.08.09)
But the UN & particularly UNRWA, is as much an enemy as Hamas. This may not be the official position of our gov't. but I bet you that's what most Israelis feel. Which is why you won't see much sympathy on these talkbacks.
15. DELIVER IT FROM EGYPT
USA   (01.08.09)
16. UN workers are always in danger - yet they only stop now
Global Citizen ,   Israel & USA   (01.08.09)
Hmmmm...
17. F... THE IDIOTIC UN. NEVER SOLVED ONE CONFLICT

AND NEVER WILL. I DON'T UNDERSTAND WHAT ISRAEL GETS OUT F BEING A MEMBER OF THIS CIRCUS ORGANIZATION.
18. There shouldn't be any aid trucks coming from Israel
(01.08.09)
Let them come from Egypt if they must. When will Israel show some respect for itself.
19. Israeli war crimes!
Dave Wilson ,   usa   (01.08.09)
This is a clear example of war crimes by Israel. Those in charge will sooner or later be arrested and put to trial at the Hague.
20. The name says it all UN-RA=EVIL UN
Ooom ,   shmoom   (01.08.09)
21. # 14 You wont see much of anything
Chocko ,   NY, USA   (01.08.09)
that would constitute either Intelligence or Humanity on these pages never mind sympathy. So a UN worker gets killed and you all say "So What" and when anyone doesnt show sympathy to those living in Sderot or Ashkelon, you call them anti-semitic or Terrorists. You are all just a bunch of Cowards, & Hypocrites who obviosuly dont do any of the fighting, because you are all too busy writing in these TB's. 'The Bravery of being out of range'
22. To #21
Frank ,   Canada   (01.08.09)
UN is an ennemy of the state of Israel, it is siding with the ugliest criminals and is constantly defaming Israel. If you want compassion and respect you must deserved it first.
23. To all the anti-semite trash reading YNET
Al   (01.08.09)
F you and the donkey you rode in on.
24. UN lies, people die!
Dan ,   USA   (01.08.09)
Typical UN cr_p!
25. UN shooting
Teknarik ,   US   (01.08.09)
First of all, there is no evidence yet that it was IDF firing toward the car. As many investigations shown before, Hamas and alike, have shot and killed many of their own to make it look like IDF is comming atrocities. Secondly, to all those who want to wipe us out so badly, keep on dreaming cuz it aint going to happen! Hauge should concern themselves with real time crime. Everytime a rocket is fired by Hamas and kills a civilian on Israeli or Palestinian side, arrest and sue Hamas leaders to prevent this BS from continuing. But so long as they provoke Israel to rain down rockets at them, it is war on Israeli nation! G-d bless Israel!
26. #21 Chocko-full-of-nuts in NY.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (01.08.09)
Thank you for the kind words - they are as water off a duck's back. You find it odd that we don't have sympathy for our enemies? Most people of normal intelligence would find it most understandable. I'm a little too old to participate in combat as I imagine are most participants on this forum - but you can be sure that many served their country in their time. I did like your quote, however - ''The bravery of the out of range'' which applies equally well to yourself. Then again, seeing as you are in NY, you may not be as ''out of range'' as you would like. The people we are fighting are the same people who perpetrated the 9/11 attack on your city. Or hasn't that quite sunk in yet?
27. Associated Press and Hamas
Professor Edgar Pick ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (01.08.09)
I wonder whether it is proper for an international press agency to qualify the legitimate defense of a country, after eight years of rocket fire, as "bloody". The initial report on YNET stated "For a second straight day, Israel suspended its bloody Gaza military operation". The indecency was corrected. Was it Associated Press or was it too much for YNET to blindly reproduce this combination of slander and insult? Following this contorted logic, we shall soon read about the "bloody Second World War against the innocent Nazis". Edgar Pick, Tel Aviv
28. Oh really #19?
Natan ,   USA   (01.08.09)
UNRWA has been part of the problem in this region almost equally as Hamas. Let's put it into prespective. UNRWA is literaly feeding Israel's enemy. UNRWA, with your tax dollars as well as mine, is feeding and supplying a terrorist organization that will not hestiate to kill you too as an American. One has to ask a question what is UNRWA doing in Gaza for over 60 years????? Refugges for over 60 years???? The Palestinians are the only refugees still in existence in this world!!! Don't they have any self respect?
29. Cash for food Scandal covered by
Gideon Reader   (01.08.09)
the morality of anti-Israel blather. There will be a slight delay in the shipments of food and other items into Gaza, while the appropriate UN agency siphons off their share and locates another market in order that the goods and funds may be properly "placed" securely in Lichtenstein, Grand Cayman and Geneve.
30. Israel lost the moral ground
MK ,   USA   (01.08.09)
This has become too much to accept. No matter how much we want Hamas to be crushed, but Israel's blunders have exceeded the tolerable level. This war has to stop now or Israel's reputation world-wide will be damaged.
