61. Udi Aloni
Michal Baharier ,   Tel Aviv   (01.09.09)
OK Udi you live in New York, not Ashkelon or Sderot. How convenient to be a raving left wing self hating Israeli at a safe distance. Hamas and Islam were born with the hate of Jews, not because of Israeli oppression, but because Mohammed was rejected by the Jews and was "brogis". Islam all over the world has taken the path of violence since its inception. Nothing has changed. Those who follow Islam must destroy the Crusaders and the Infidels. They still speak in those terms. Secular modern intellectual Moslems live in peace as refugees all over the Western world. They can't live with their "brethren" because they have no common language. What do you want us Israelis to do? Lay down and have the Gazans take over Israel? That's all THEY want. They do not want us here at all. What is your suggestion about what to do with us? Shall we all move to New York, like you?
62. LIKE MOTHER, LIKE SON
Proud Jew ,   Israel   (01.09.09)
Shulamit Aloni and her son are sick self hating Jews. They are always on the side of the Arabs, and never on the side of the Jews.
63. Udi's Fantasy
Morey Schwartz ,   Israel   (01.09.09)
It is good that we still have extremists like Udi Aloni who remind us of just how sane the rest of us are ! To compare Ariel Sharon! to Hamas - Udi has truly invented for himself a version of reality that is so far from the truth that a person reading it might even begin to assume that it must be legitimate - after all, one might think, what Israeli citizen would conjure us such a narrative! Did Udi forget about the disengagement from Gaza, the thousands of innocent Israelis riding buses, eating falafal, or shopping for the Sabbath - who have been blown up by fanatic murders who greatest glory is to die as a martyr and take as many innocent victims with them as is possible! Udi - did you forget about them? Have you forgotten that Hamas desires only the complet desctuction of the Jewish People - that they are supported by Iran in their terrorism - I guess you think we should make nice with Ahamenejad too - is that part of your long range peace camp plans? Please, keep us in the loop! You write about "betrayal of the Peace camp" - as far as I am concerned, at a time of defensive war, it is words like the ones that you have chosen that constitute betrayal - betrayal of your people, your soldiers, the Jewish people worldwide. "I am for peace, but when I talk about it, they only talk about war" (Psalm 120:7) Wake up, Udi - We are the People who invented peace! Of course that is what we want - but you can't expect to pet a raging lion! Please - take your nonsense elsewhere - and if you feel the need to answer Noa personally- keep it between the two of you where this kind of nonsense belongs.
64. Udi, the name is Udi
Rachel ,   Herzlia   (01.09.09)
I can't believe that this person is maybe named after a grandfather named Yehuda. It just can't be possible. Read about Yehuda the son of Yaakov in this week's Parsha ויחי . Read the description of our biblical ancestor and the blessing given to him. Compare to the writer of this letter, Udi, and weep. I apologize and cry for you Sabba Yehuda ע'ה
65. He disgusts me, yuck!
Sarit ,   Israel   (01.09.09)
66. Dear Udi
Ram ,   London   (01.09.09)
How civilised of you to view things in the manner you do. It takes a special person to have such a minority view. While Noa ranted with well meaning words shared by many sane people you chose to be more direct. You know, the Germans democratically elected Hitler and fully supported his policies. What a fine fellow he turned out to be. Had he completed his mission you and I would not be exchanging words. You choose to ignore historical facts and justify the Hamas leadership because of their democratic election but somehow ignore their charter. How innovative of you to call Hamas the "monster's son". This brings to mind the question of whether the chicken or the egg came first. Maybe the Israelis have taken advantage to increase their land as a result of wars but the Israelis have also been known to give back land for the sake of peace. The legitimate state of Israel has always been prepared to talk peace announcing it is prepared to make "painful concessions" but none of the Palestinians were prepared to take negotiations to the end. That is because going back to the 1967 borders will not agree with their charter the content of which you know well but choose to ignore. I ended up marrying the woman who agreed to dance with me. Hamas not only refuses to dance with Israel but wants to destroy it. If you followed your tradition you might have been better informed. Mixing with gentiles and learning their ways does not help your continuity. Get real! Get a life and stop being an embarassment to yourself and your people.
67. Poor Udi:With A Mother Like His,No
Lawrence ,   Safed Israel   (01.09.09)
Wonder he has trouble distinguishing between Good and Evil.
68. Aloni
I J USA ,   USA   (01.09.09)
Put two leftist Arab apologists in the same room and this is what comes out. They are like a woman who has been raped, apologizing for having a vagina.
69. More Processed Crap
Erich ,   Jerusalem   (01.09.09)
From the Aloni baloney factory.
70. Bravo
Mikesailor ,   Miami, FL   (01.09.09)
Finally, an Israeli who tells the truth. Unfortunately, you are a decidedly small minority within your so-called 'state' which still has no borders and continues to build settlements while attacking the defenceless.
71. If I had a hat on......
The 11th Man ,   London   (01.09.09)
......I'd take it off to all of you readers who actually made it through this drivel without rushing for the bathroom.
72. Noa is a patriot, & Shula is a patriot too, but Udi...
Mark Sherer ,   Tel Aviv   (01.09.09)
...only has a public platform because of an accident of birth. Outside of having a famous mother and a lot of American-made money, he's a big nothing of no importance whatsoever.
73. Curious...if Israel is built on stolen land and blood....
Rachel ,   USA   (01.09.09)
...why the heck is he an "Israeli-American" and not just an American? Surely he wouldn't want to be associated with such a "terrible" nation?! Noa's heart, I think, is in the right place, but her mind is not; this guy's heart and mind are clouded by self-hatred and mad leftist rantings. Leftist madness and hypocrisy at their "best" in this letter...
74. Answering Noa
Sam Turecki ,   Raanana Israel   (01.09.09)
You bleeding hearts are pathetic.Instead of bleeding for them why don't you ask how much they spent on schools universities roads cultural centres etc like we the Jews have done for ages.Tell them to help themselves instead of always blaming us, but I guess with guys like you around why should they
75. outrageous nauseating article
JSL ,   CHICAGO USA   (01.10.09)
this is nauseating !! Are we sure ex american president carter didn't write this? or maybe its mearshimer? or louis farrakhan ? its hateful LIES --like the ones filled in this article --that are responsible for murder/s and sometimes even genocide.
76. Mugabe was a democratic choice to - does that make it right?
(01.10.09)
He lives in the US not Israel. By his logic democracy makes it right, follow his logic and all you can say is that when peoples all over the world choice through democracy regimes they are by that choice choosing their fate. Their is no right and wrong, just as the actions of these groups are not right and wrong. Indeed these groups have a right to self assertion of whatever choice they choice. By his thinking half of Africa should be left alone since they voted for their dictators, their choice. There is no morality in his argument, no truth, or justice. Just choices and the right to assert them. The world then should never interfere with any one country even if if chooses a regime of destruction. Safe for him to say too, as he lives in a safe country whose' s choices please him
77. to 36
taha ,   rafah   (01.10.09)

78. Noa and Aloni
Chaim ,   DC USA   (01.10.09)
Unfortunately you are both delusional. There are no moderate Arabs. How can there be when they are taught to hate the Jews ( not just Israelis) from their very birth. Aloni what did the Gazans do when Israel uprooted Gush Katif. Did they resume the productive greenhouse activities that could have provided jobs and revenue? Did they establish a democratic society on their own? Of course not because all they want is to destroy Israel! They don't want what we want. A safe home, a productive society, intellectual freedom, a future for their children. They aspire for their children to be Shahids and destroy Jewish children in the process. Wake up you are not dealing with people who share your values, who share your humanism, who share your aspirations. Ours is a culture of LIFE. Their's is a culture of DEATH.
79. Thanks Aloni
Cook ,   Nazareth   (01.10.09)
As an agent of Hamas I want to thank you for Shulamit and Udi support. I also appreciate YNET for trying continuosly to demoralize the Israeli Zionist enemy. The check is in the mail.
80. The “monster's son”
raz ,   Tel Aviv, Israel   (01.10.09)
The “monster's son” The American son of Shulamit Aloni is pouring an entire bucket of extreme left suicidal ideology in its typically empty phraseology, inherited in his house since childhood, and that, at a more careful analysis, teaches that the most advisable thing for Israelis to do wold be handing the "Palestinian" lands to the Palestinians, then heading for more quiet places... Like America, for example. “For over 60 years, (Israel) has been occupying and humiliating them (...) We took their land and imprisoned them in the ghetto called Gaza” writes Mr. Udi, letting no doubt on both his lack of history knowledge and what the extreme left in Israel, blindly quoting the Palestinians, mean by “occupation”: the “Whole Thing”, the State of Israel, created 60 years ago, where he and his mother have been living and activated ardently for the “ human rights”. In the eyes of no Muslim in the world, the last inch of Israel, yes, even the ones where you were born, Mr. Udi, shouldn't belong, under no other name than “Palestine”, to anyone else but the universal Arab “Ummah” (nation), the ultimate “Islamic Caliphate”. Not even exclusively to the Palestinians. Further on, in those fanatical eyes, no other spot on the rest of the Earth should belong to someone else, and this is the “monster” we, the entire civilized world, should be able to fight against, if it isn't already too late and obstacles like you and other naive or corrupted, or both, preachers of false humanity aren't already aligned for a blind support. I won't take the time to explain you that the misery of the Gazans, far from being caused by Israel, could have been spared, had their leaders invested the very effort and funds they spent in smuggling and manufacturing huge arsenals of weaponry - fired towards Israelis over several years - in their own citizens' welfare. It is difficult for you to understand, it seems, that what IDF is doing now represents the most elementary response to an inadmissible and prolonged aggression towards innocent civilians, residing in a state whose sovereignty you are questioning, and to the menace of having the entire strip turned into a well equipped and trained Iranian base, engaged in its known goal of “wiping Israel off the map”. But, as a fresh incarnation of the mathusalemic image of the “human rights” activist, Shulamit Aloni, I am congratulating you for being accurate at least on one issue: qualifying Ariel Sharon “murderous'. If only for the unforgivable sin of irresponsibly handing Gaza to nobody, thus exposing larger and larger areas in Israel to the savagery of fanatics that will never be able, nor willing, to take the task of governing an independent and peaceful state of their own. Even when given, as was the case with Sharon's complete disengagement from Gaza, a true possibility. Your article enhances once more who really are both “the monster” and the “monster's son”. Raz, Tel Aviv isromagazin@yahoo.com
81. Sadness
joel reinstein ,   boca raton,fla& tel   (01.10.09)
I read with sadness this Israeli- American's defense of terrorism. I believe that Hamas needs to be significantly diminished for there to be any chance for peace with the Palestinians. Joel
82. your article
Michèle Ignace ,   K.Merhavia Israël   (01.11.09)
It is a very good choice that you are living in the States like that you can telle us how bad we are when your children are fighting for the south people can have a normal live. Please stay where you are we are better without you.

84. Chapeau bas
The Syrian   (01.12.09)
Dear Udi Your words make me still believe that peace is possible and extemists either jews or muslims will not triomphe for ever.
85. 60 years of occupation Aloni calls for Israels destruction
Mordechai   (01.12.09)
Why does ynet print an article calling for the destruction of Israel. The 60 years of occupation Aloni condemns means the occupation starts in 1948 when israel was founded
86. Just occured to me
Gil ,   Israel   (01.12.09)
This fellow and Lennox the loser belong in neturei karta. Whoopee. Lennox, give 'em free seats at your next (boring) 'concert'. We saw 'em (as ugly as ever) at the pro hamas demos recently. What a contrast to those at the pro israel demos yesterday, looking proud and confident. The netkarts looked constipated and sour as always. Ehud/Yehuda Alony is a net kart supporter, now, isn't that funny?
87. I pity this brainwashed man
Judah ,   Golan Heights,ISRAEL   (01.12.09)
His mother has brainwashed him since he was a small child. My parents allowed my brothers and I to be independent thinkers. My parents always vote for the Liberal party in Canada yet I always voted for the Conservative party.
88. This article was on Hamas website, Udi should feel so proud
Sarit ,   Israel   (01.12.09)
He should be so proud that his movies, speeches and articles give so much comfort and moral to our mortal enemies.
89. Why the rage?
Jenna ,   USA   (01.12.09)
I thought Israel claimed to be a democratic state! Isn't this freedom of speech?!! Thank you for an informing and eye opening article Mr. Aloni.
90. Gazans median age is only 17
Marilyn ,   Adelaide   (01.29.09)
Are you uglies here finished? Feeling proud? Hamas is not the damn problem. Israel knows that. They said so in a report dated 10 December last year when they said "Hamas kept the peace".
