Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (01.09.09)
Making the I.D.F. a credible deterrent once again is a national imperative. When Israel will integrate its Jewish identity into its national life, it will easily define its enemies, all its enemies, and will restore the spirit of the I.D.F and its deterrence. Now that we can have confidence in the IDF once again, real independence will be much more than a slogan. Independence is not created by poses and declarations, but by military power, economic prowess and national determination. Some details about the I. D. F . at : http://xrl.us/oq28g

Dave ,   TX   (01.09.09)
you kill more than 257 children...Children!! This war is total insanity, I am wondering what we'll get out of all this. The world sees IDF as bunch of criminals, even the pope is commenting for GDs sake.
10. Israeli Army gives food, not fist
(01.09.09)
How many us believe that Hamas or other Arab armies that might invade Israel would allow Israeli (Jewish Israeli) citizens staying in their homes to live, let alone give them food and water? Kol haKavod, Givati!! Stay safe, physically and psychologically, and know that you are not alone.

13. I enjoyed reading this article...
Kev ,   London   (01.09.09)
...but honestly hope that Ron Ben Yishai remains the only journalist to enter Gaza with the IDF. Don't release any more information. Their lives are more important.

What is someone with a name like Joel Klein doing in Gaza?
15. How do we win a war, when the civilians
Scott ,   Haifa   (01.09.09)
like that family in the picture, say they refuse to leave...for all we and our soldiers know, this family may be sitting on a Hamas tunnel opening under the floor or carpet. We need to pray, and call on God for help, because our army is tough, but these trained suicide killers are evil. Please continue to pray for our boys.
16. You are all heros in this war

John Davies ,   Pittsburgh, PA USA   (01.10.09)
I am also part of the world. Do not presume to speak for me. I see the IDF as brave people doing a nasty job to keep their families safe. I hoped that this Pope would be different, but he disappoints me. His worldview is terribly naive as is yours.
20. Israeli Gaza Operation
Andrew Lee ,   Los Angeles, USA   (01.11.09)
I sympathize with the Israelis plight. I'm neither a Jew nor a Muslim nor a Christian so that makes me pretty removed from any religious preferences. It seems to me that the Israelis are spending a lot of time and resources not to hurt the Palestinian people who seem to do nothing but complain and complain about the hand that feeds them while doing nothing about the cause. I cannot comprehend at all why all these Palestinians are condemning Israel and not the instigators from their own. They claim that innocent civilians are being killed, but at the same time, gleefully claim that it is impossible for Israel to annihilate Hamas, because Hamas is the people, and the people are Hamas. It is what a Chinese term reads "body dieing but the mouth is alive". I'd like to see Hamas and the Palestinians try their tactics in China. If you don't root out a fungus, it will just grow and multiply.
21. Givati
Jerry Meents ,   Ogden, Utah. USA   (01.12.09)
Go Givati go. I was a member of Givati in 1948 and I am very proud of all of you. You are the greatest. Thank you for defending Israel. I am 78 years old now, but would love to be with you.

23. thank you to the soldiers
Lynda Tohar ,   Raanana Israel   (01.19.09)
My family and I are so proud to say we live in Israel, a country that breeds such fine young men and woman who are defending our country. At an age when other youth are thinking only about themselves and their future, you are thinking about the future for all of us Jews world wide. No words can express our gratitude
