of the middle east is a homeland for the jewish people. the palestinian propaganda is based on a myth. there was never a country called palestine , NEVER, not in the middle east nor elsewhere, so when they call to liberate palestine, what they mean is to CLEAR THE JEWS out of israel. palestine was the name given by the british mandate in this area after the first world war, following the disintegration of the othman empire. palestine WAS the east and the west banks of the jordan river. in 1922 churchill's government gave the arabs 80% of palestine, the east bank, which is known as the country of jordan, allthough a previous british agreements to create a jewish homeland in the east and the west banks of palestine. the jews have no claims on the east bank, so they settled for the 20% left ,to be masters to their fate as a nation in the west bank. in contrast to this one country for the jews, jordan, a country which is mostly inhabited by palestinians to this day, is one of 22 arab countries, that form more then 99 % of the middle east. when israel was established most of it was arid desert, which is hard to believe when one sees the overcrowded arab cities in the west bank, such as gaza. when the european mandate gave a name to this region, the palestinians were mostly a tribal mob, many were nomads, that roamed throughout the vast othman empire. the palestinian national movement started when jews were seeking to create their homeland in this area, for that was the cause that made these tribes join forces. for the efforts of the arab mob, and for the arab oil, not for the sanctity of human life, the cizilized world gave them more land from the remaining 20% of the west bank. jews have lived for 3700 years in the west bank of palestine, as a minority, allongside the arabs that came here on the seventh century, in cities like jerusalem, within the great city walls built by king david, that posed the city limits till the 19th century . when israel was established there was a jewish majority in jerusalem. the palestinians of the west bank are assuming a name given to them by europeans, less then 100 years ago, but make a claim on jerusalem that is some3000 years old. so they got all of the east bank, and some of the west bank, but that is not enough for the arabs , so they stick to their old well known agenda, to destroy the jewish state, unless the jewish state and the world shall give them all that they want. they fight us not only with mortar but with deliberate creation of poverty, and a deliberate creation of a demographical crisis. israel's interest is make them believe they have something to loose, to get them to stop bombing us. so we provided resources which are in short supply in israel, and created their infrastructure when we were the dominating force in gaza. continuing our policy, we therefore provided them with over 400 trucks of aid during the first 10 days of this war. but what can you expect from an arab mob in the densely populated Gaza, that teaches their children they should kill all israelis and claim the whole of the west bank for their relatively newly found national aspirations, when even the arab citizens of israel, arab students in the universities of israel, raleigh & say openly they shall redeeme all of palestine with their blood and their spirit. a free thinking israeli

I feel this is the right move. A cease fire would have only benefited Hamas. Israel should use this operation to break Hamas' back once and for all...settle for nothing less. I know the same was the goal for Hizbullah in the '06 Lebanon war, and its unfortunate that it didn't succeed. But this time, Israel must succeed...otherwise the Arabs will see this as another defeat for the mighty IDF. My only regret is the high collateral damage. I understand that Gaza is not only highly densly populated, but that its usual practice for Islamists to hide behind civilians (same happens in Iraq and Kashmir). However, the world ignores this fact and is outraged at what it perceives as an 'excessive use of force'. This is not good for Israel's image. My hope is that ground ops are stepped up, despite its risk. Israel should seriously step up its efforts to vindicate its image (by posting videos showing its humanitarian activities and Hamas using civilain human shields). Win the public's approval and half the battle is won. The arabs understand this well. They are playing victim very effectively, which is why the world is completely blindsiding the fact that Israel is defending itself from rocket attacks...a legitimate move which any govt would have made. Most of all....Israel must not accept anything short of complete victory...i.e complete destruction of Hamas. Lastly, I empathize with your challanges Israel and wish you the very best.
