6. If we accept the Egyptian proposal we will have lost the war
zionist forever   (01.12.09)
The most important part of a war is the political solution agreed on to end the war. We have fought well and hurt Hamas badly but unless we get the ceasefire terms right the whole thing will have been in vain, Hamas will rebuild and break the ceasefire whenever it suits them and there is no diplomatic or economic sanctions we can place on them if they break their terms. The Egyptian plan is more about a ceasefire which does zero to change the facts on the ground but its a quick fix without asking either side to concede much. It wont stop Hamas digging new tunnels or anything else it will basicly say we will stop the fighting now worry about a long term solution later. Egypt seems unwilling to allow any form of construction project to attempt to physicly stop the tunneling and the ideas of some kind of underground wall wont do anything because they will just dig deeper. European MONITORS all they will do is be able to tell us Hamas have got their hands on some more rockets so be ready for another round. Any international force must be a peace keeping force which has the authrotiy of shoot to kill and destroy any tunnels that might be discovered. Anything else will play into Hamas hands. When Israel pulled out of Gaza European observers were placed on the Philadelphi Route but everytime Hamas started to make threats or tried anything the European observers went running so whats going to be different this time around? Either get this political solution right or dont agree to one or the lives of the soilders who died will be in vain.

14. Talking to Iran?
Jason...   (01.12.09)
How diplomatically absurd, not to say, even cyclothymic is this? By doing that, do the French not realise that their playing exactly the game the Iranian mullah Dictators want them and the World to play? For three reasons: A):. The Iranian regime excluded and isolated by nearly all Middle Eastern and Western Countries (except Syria, and their Terrorist agents, Hamas and Hizbollah), want, are desperate for, some sort of recognition and a Political and diplomatic role in the affairs and problems of the Middle East. Is France ready to offer them that opportunity, thus legitimising their role in supporting Hamas and Hizbollah? B): By including Iran and Hamas in any negotiations the French are recognising, legitimising and accepting the Mullah-Hizbollah, Mullah-Hamas incestuous religious terroristic alliance, which threatens the Whole Gulf Region and the Middle East. C):. By talking to the Iranian Mullahs , you are playing into (amongst other things) Nuclear weapons Game. They want exactly that! Negotiations with Western Powers, preferably not directly Uranium enrichment and nuclear bomb related, for as long as possible. They want to be seen as the "good, co-operating guys" thus pulling more wool over the World's eyes, and buying the time they need for the achievement of their one and only ultimate aim: The nuclear bomb acquisition! Are the French really so naive? Or, perhaps (one would certainly hope not) other, more nefarious plans are at play?
