Hamas have not been destroyed as a fighting force in Gaza which had been one of the aims of this war and if we didn't choose unilateral ceasefire before the job was done we could have done it properly. Another aim of the war was to get our deterent that was lost after Lebanon and the sell out policies since then were lost. During the fighting we got it back but then we lost it again at the end because Hamas saw that were didnt have what it took to follow an operation through we would always loose our nerve and end the war on the enemies terms So deterent not regained possibly even we weakened it because we showed the running out of Lebanon wasn't a one off it our standard policy.
