The government have always been sleeping over this issue! I have stressed my opinion many times before many more"Desalination Plants" is what we need, and not usless dribble, people come on TV and talk that all they do, pity.

32. Replacing mezuzot
Sure, defile His name and His Land. Throw His people out of their homes. Do everything that He punished Israel for thousands of years ago near Mt. Sinai...then replace the mezuzot. That is certain to help Israel start winning wars for a change. Some Israelis seem to think that the God of Israel is an idiot.

33. Drought is a sign the people are sinning, the Bible says.
The people must go back to the Torah teachings and then the Lord will change the copper skies and iron earth to rain and fruitfulness.

35. saving water and water reuse
Firstly, according to our water authority and the KKL only 20% of our water comes from Yam Kinneret. Lets get the facts straight. Secondly, the proposed price incereases in water are less likely to have any effect than a straight increase in charge per cubic meter. Thirdly, many municipalities particularly mine cheet on their water quantities measurement. Until this problem is solved nobody is going to take the problem of saving and measurement more seriously than at present. To save water thgere are a number of simple domestic modifications that can be introduced including fine (neadle) water sprays in bathrooms and kitchens, where the smaller flow is equally effective than a full jet or even a regular shower, but uses less than half the quantity. The half-flush in toilets is better than nothing but can also be improved on by the use of a balance weight on the internal column float, so that the handle controls the quantity of water used. (This is like the old fashioned hand tap thyat could be openned and closed by rotating the knob.
