classy! thanks for contributing!!
32. to anton#19:Borders are borders!
Arie ,   BaGolan   (01.28.09)
We have no obligation to open our borders to an enemy entity. In fact, I defy you to show even one other country in the world that has borders that are open between warring entities. Even peaceful neighbours limit access: The US and Mexico (with the US building a border wall); US and Canada; Iraq and Syria; Jordan and West Bank; the UK and civilized nations. We maintain our right. If the palis want the border,, all they need do is renounce hamasstan and accept our existence. Otherwise, they are on their own.

Israel needs to take the gloves off.
34. oh man you better hope this report is inaccurate
AY_Lamb ,   USA   (01.28.09)
Those dudes are working in Iraq as well under the purview of the Islamic State of Iraq, or if you prefer the new Ba'ath Party. Whata drag but, not sure of the Iranian connection could be the Sayf Al Adl DIC (dude in charge)

What it really means is that a false-flag operation got out. So they had too pin the blame on someone. It's all just an lie!
36. Doublespeak
Chris ,   Canada   (01.28.09)
That is a ridiculous argument. "Hit them hard for every violation of the Ceasefire maybe then they will learn that violence only encourages more violence. " and when will YOU learn?
37. Israel Bombed the Corridor Tonight
Dav Lev ,   Burbank. CAUSA   (01.28.09)
To Everyone: lastest news is that the IDF has bombed the Philadelpi Corridor..causing panic among the nearby residents. Finally, Israel is doing something again RIGHT. Knowing the Palis, they will bring a complaint to the UN alleging a violation of the cease fire. Deja vu, Ho hum.
38. THIS IS CLEARLY ISREAL's FAULT
James ,   London   (01.28.09)
What do you expect? Creating all these bogy groups and trying to "MARKET YOUR VIEW OF THE OCCUPATION"! Israel kills innocent people, this will cause hatred! its that simple! Get the hell out of their homes, stop this barbaric behaviour, stop making excuses for everything to justify your violent greedy bahaviour, and then see how quickly one can create a SINGLE COUNTRY WHERE EVERYONE CAN LIVE IN PEACE!

Which SINGLE country would you create? One where being Jewish is against the law?
40. #2, thousands dead under Arafat
Danny   (01.28.09)
less than a few hundred since he died... Trick question i assume.
41. #2 - Arik - So Arafat controlled Hamas in 1994/5?
William ,   Israel   (01.28.09)
Really? So despite Arafat's claims at being powerless you believe he could control Hamas. Does that mean Arafat not only condoned, but ordered the strong of suicide bombings that killed many, many civilians in Israel in the mid-1990s after the PLO signed the Oslo Accords with Israel? Then that would mean Arafat was never a partner in peace as the Left touted him to be, that his speech in South Africa regarding the Oslo Accords to be "just one step in the destruction of Israel" is then valid? FYI - some speculate that Arafat died of a certain immune disease known as HIV.
42. #3 Wanda - "Bin Laden" is really Sam Shelstein from Albany
William ,   Israel   (01.28.09)
Right. There is no Bin Laden. It's an elaborate ploy by an actor from Upstate NY who loves ice fishing and poker. And we all know those groups of people posing as Global Jihadists under Al Qaeda are really daytime waiters in trendy restaurants taking part time acting gigs until they get a break. That's why the US debt is so high, right? And nevermind 9/11 - the Israelis did that. I think it was because a work Visa was denied by a company in the Twin Towers. Oh, those Israelis - reacting without proportion. Can you feel the mocking, Wanda??
43. #6 - John - a brave and intelligent question
William ,   Israel   (01.28.09)
We should all be asking questions like yours. The answer itself shows the complicated situation in Gaza. Why were the crossings closed most of the time? It wasn't because Israel was punishing the Gazans but rather because ever few days Hamas would launch an attack on the crossings or the IDF would find a tunnel or buried bomb there. One would think Hamas WANTS the crossings open, however....1) having closed crossings is good PR, makes Israel look bad, 2) Hamas makes tons of $$$ from "taxes" on items smuggled into the strip. Who wants to see that business end?? Erez also has a crossing and Industrial Zone where lots of Gazans worked. Hamas targeted it so much that all businesses pulled out and many Pals died in the attacks.
44. #15 - Wanda - your post is an exercise in nomenclature
William ,   Israel   (01.28.09)
Are you trying to explain away the growing phenomenon of Islamic terrorism through clever nomenclature and pseudo-logic? So what if the West looks at a problem through segmented perspectives for easier understanding? Atleast they ARE looking which is more than the rest of your brain-dead liberals who can't comprehend the brutality and racism coming out of Islam today and finding it easier to just deny it or explain it through a Western-lens, like poverty or lack of freedom. There is already proof for over 10 years that terrorist groups DO infact aid each other often. The PLO and Hamas are perfect examples of terror co-existence.
45. Get a perspective, you're not God.
shalom ,   tel aviv, israel   (01.29.09)
well, you are one soldier for peace! I think yo should consider joining IDF, so you can see what sort of hell these young women and men lives in, while you sit back, watching it all on the 6 o clock news. I don't think an Israeli leader sleeps well either, and you want justice?...If the murdered bedouin soldier will have his vengeance, well, then I think a couple of palestinan people will have their vengeance too.
46. Wanda Is Right
Kev ,   UK   (01.31.09)
Al quaeda was a convemient invention so that the Pro-Zionist Bush administration could use the Rico organised crime laws against hose percieved as responsible for 9/11. It was a lie that has been told offten enough & loud enough that people accepted it on face value. After all governments don't lie! Do they? This has set a propaganda precedent. Where Isreal used to be "at war" with the Palestinians. Now it is always refered too as Hamas. The Zionist media have decided not to mention PALESTINE but to always speak of "Hamas" when refering to the poor civilians who have suffered neath the murderous jack-boots of Zionism. Were the children in Gaza who were horifficaly burned by Israel White Phosphorus Hamas children or Palestinian children? Maybe they were just children. To see people attempting to justify or excuse the murder of women & children is despicable. I don't care if you're Christian, Jewish, Muslim or Atheist. Dropping burning Phosphorous on women or children is indefencible. It is wrong. Everyone knows it & there is NO excusing it!

Kev ,   UK   (01.31.09)
Yes as you say "Terrorist groups do infact aid each other!" Look at the USA's anual $3.5 billion "Aid" to Israel. Apachie helicopter Gunships F16's, etc, etc.
