It's hard for me to imagine Livni and Barak even voting for themselves.

Just a Guy ,   CA, USA   (01.28.09)
Anyone suprised? Although the IDF did not fail, operation Cast Lead was certainly a failure. Success comes in one of two ways: 1) Hamas surrenders unconditionally and the conclusion of the operation results in no victory demonstrations by their supporters. 2) Every Hamas member is dead or hiding in a hole so deep they are no threat to anyone. In other words: if there a Hamas victory rally is possible, Hamas may have lost a battle but certainly not a war. God bless Israel, and may the Israelis muster sufficient self loyalty to defeat all foreign and domestic enemies.
4. no news here
Ellen ,   Israel/USA   (01.28.09)
Let's see.... A cease fire and Hamas ignores it. Why am I not surprised. Israel left Gaza before the job was done--these results ----more rockets--were almost guaranteed.

Another six months of rockets, silence by all the countries in the world, then a response by Israel and mass anti Israel protests.

ya right! u gota give it to hamas, they got BALLS.
10. Rockets fired into Israel
Laura ,   USA   (01.29.09)
Israel needs to go back into Gaza and bomb the Egyptian border until the smuggling tops, Israel needs to do what is ever necessary to end this once and for all. To try to negotiate with a Terrorist organization is fruitless.
11. Did We Really Expect Any Different?
emanon ,   USA   (01.28.09)
Remember, Hamas did not surrender, they only agreed to Israel calling a ceasre fire. To the Arab world, "cease fire" means "you stop shooting while we rearm". This is especially true since Hamas did *NOT* surrender disarm renounce it's avowed goal of destroying Israel stop arms smuggling evacuate Gaza openly destroy its existing weapons supply apologize for bombarding Israeli civilians show remorse for putting its own people in harm's way return Shalit's body admit Shalit is dead I could continue, but you get the idea.
12. Gaza attacks IL
(01.29.09)
Does not look as Gaza accepts the idea of no-hostilities. It is time for IL to grow up and fend for itself. It is time for the Palestinians to assume full responsibility for their actions or lack-of actions.
13. Hamas commits war crimes against Israel, again
David ,   Boston, USA   (01.29.09)
I dont see this in US news agencies. They prefer Arab propaganda over facts. Its sad.
14. ISRAEL IDIOTS! This is result of "Unilateral Surrender"!

15. Deja Vu All Over Again
Bill Foonman ,   Jacksonville, USA   (01.29.09)
These morons will never learn. It's time for the IDF to put Hamas out of business once and for all.
16. The Hamas fight against Israel : A fight to the death.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (01.29.09)
If we do not understand the present Palestinian violence for what it is - not an effort to end an occupation of some territories but a continuation of the real, original jihad and a fight to the death - then attempts to force an end to the conflict will only help make inevitable the catastrophic conclusion that all but the religious fanatics are dreading. International condemnation of Israel only gives it more power. More about the spirit of Jihad at : http://xrl.us/bebdoa
17. Peace from hamas = rockets
Ben ,   Monroe USA   (01.29.09)
One rocket into Israel; 1000 bombs into Gaza. No games, just immediate retribution. Hamas recognizes only terror. It's their turn to be terrorized. Kill the b.......s.
18. Where are the Liberals?
Rosie ,   NYC   (01.29.09)
So where are the Liberals? Where are their complaints? Where are the Human Rights activists?
19. Just an idea...
Rob ,   Southampton, England   (01.30.09)
As I recall, Hamas offered a ceasefire on condition that the Israelis open the border. Since the Israelis have failed to do so, the Palestinians are legally entitled to use any and all methods to drive the occupiers from their land. If Israel really wanted peace, they could start by complying with UN resolutions and International law. Then there would be no need for rockets or tunnels.
