1. Ehud Barak should not talk about morality.
Terry ,   Eilat, Israel   (02.05.09)
Then again, he shouldn't talk about lots of things, like competence, principles, scruples, military strategy, or integrity. He can talk quite knowledgeably about self-interest, flip-flopping, opportunism, hypocrisy, & cronyism. There are, of course, subjects Mr Barak avoids because they won't win him votes (like today's statement) - the retreat from Lebanon, his betrayal of our allies in S. Lebanon, his failed very short time as PM, his willingness to give away Jerusalem, Gaza, the West Bank, the Golan. Then there are his more bizarre ideas like digging tunnels connecting Gaza to the West Bank that are not even sane. Pre-election pandering, nothing more.

Ted ,   UK   (02.05.09)
My friend it's not a matter of time or statistics, but of intentions and care about civilians ! If Israel would have cared about it's citizens in the same manner Hamas cares about Gazans, you would have wittnessed thousands of casulties on the israeli side in the last 8 years, from indiscriminate shelling. On the other side read about Hamas doctorines (which they admit publically) and you'll see that for them civilian casulties are an integral part of their strategy in this conflict . I wonder sometime how we in the UK and Europe are fooled easily by liberal left propaganda and biased media to really distinguish between frien and foe
11. wtf?
DH ,   UK   (02.06.09)
@ 5 + 7 ... at what point did I say the NATO, or the British army was the most moral in the world? I would have the same response if our army said they were the most moral army in the world after any such massacre. Are you saying I can't be appalled at the recent gaza attack because the army of the country I happen to live in has done things which I whole heartedly disagree with? Do you think the government of a country speaks for all it's citizens? Just to clarify, my point is that Barak has no right to claim the IDF is the most moral army in the world after what they have just done.
