PM Olmert should make it Government policy that Shalit must be returned to Israel for any truce. Israel should not release any Palestinian prisoners or open its boarders with Gaza.

what i am saying, how does israel approach an end of hammas negotiations with shalit not on board ? what is government thinking ? this a clear lack of an effective dialect in israeli politics domestic, regional and soon international. israel has started the 21st centuary with a very poor performance starting from the unorganized evacuation of lebanon in 2000 ending with the acceptance of coexistance with hamas and accepting hamas dialect in the truce by considering shalit as a sole issue.

Call me simple minded and someone please help me: I assume that 99% of human beings prefer living in peace and prosperity and I further assume that 90% of people will have to do what it takes to achieve such a life. Hamas falls into the 1% group of human beings that prefer war: Why would you want a time limit on peace? This must be a joke. What after the time runs out? If Hamas really wanted the crossings open (since they claim that Gaza is in a humanitarian crisis), then realse Shalit. Is one Israelu soldier so important to them that they are willing to sacrafice the "well being" of the residents of Gaza?
