1. B Michael is a cynical moron
It is fairly obvious that Israel's system of government is terribly unstable and lends itself to bad decision making. The author is simply a cynic who finds fault in everything. Small wonder all he/she ever does is criticize...

2. Stop being a cry baby
Just because your moronic ideas were rejected doesn't mean you have to have a temper tantrum.

3. ROYAL COPOUT???
It's easier to pass the buck than deal with the problems. Dealing with problems mean a psycho-social change within the population.
Since there is a definite absence of any ideology which would motivate change, the best is the erasure of the system which, supposedly, causes the difficulties.
The citizens must live according to this system which has been created by a corrupt political system, over which they have no decision making power.

4. Duh? The system *is* a real issue!
What the heck is B.M. talking about? What is more real than the issue of a system that doesn't work very well?
The electoral system in Israel stinks. Every opinion poll for the last decade or more shows that the public has almost no faith in the Knesset nor its 120 members.
The result of last week's elections are a stalemate. A deadlock.
If that isn't a "real issue", then what is?
Yes, we need a constitution to enshrine our rights. Yes, we need direct election of MKs and to change the system so that politicians are more accountable.
Yes, the Hebrew lexicon needs the word "accountability" added to it.
B. Michael is out to lunch on this one.

5. duh no. 4
are you kidding? accountability in israel? if you think the "change" is going to lead to direct election according to electorates, where the member is responsible directly to his/her constituency, you are living on another planet, or at the very least in another country. israeli politicians are never responsible for their own actions, it's always someone or something else that's responsible.

7. I don't know who is this guy but he is pretty ignorant
Antonr with 2 eyes ( even with one) can see that israeli system is faulty.
America has 2 parties for 300 millions Israel has 34 parties for 7 millions
Frankly even 2 parties is too much
Israel needs a good sheriff ( Lieberman?) and things would look much better.
