Hamas rejects Israel's truce conditions     Ynet
1. Shalit's Release
So, does this mean, round 2 of the Gaza war!!. We should never have agreed to the ceasefire, all that this "ceasefire" has done is given Hamas time to re-arm and carry on. Now we have no government to make a decision. I feel for the terribly for the residents down south and want them to know that my thoughts and prayers are with them. I am just waiting for the West Bank to start as no doubt they will.
Vicki ,   Kadima, Israel   (02.18.09)
2. Keep Gaza locked!
To the citizens of Israel, Shalit is a non-negotiable issue!! We have no obligation to feed, supply, fuel, or assist our enemies. And definitely not when they hold our son hostage. If the citizens of Gaza are OK with their conditions, then so be it. If they start shooting rockets and mortars again, then what happened during the incursion should only serve as a prelude to what more can occur in the future.
Arie ,   BaGolan   (02.18.09)
3. Pull out of talks then. Hamas needs it more than Israel.
Hamas want a truce so it can prepare for the next round, and an opening of the crossings so it can claim an "achievement" compared to what it had before the recent confrontation. If Hamas' position stands, Israel needs to simply walk away from these talks. Shalit needs to come first. And forget this nonsense about releasing hundreds of murderers as the "price" for his release. This, by the way, would be an opportune time to institute capital punishment for terrorists. They must know they can't kill and, even if captured, be assured of a future release in the next deal.

4. it is clear that hamas is uninterested in a ceasefire
it is amazing how difficult it is for them to agree to a simple truce. how easily it is torpedoed. i guess they personally have nothing to lose if there is no truce. only their poor constituents will continue to suffer because of their stubbornness.

7. To Hamas: Starve or Release!
The siege must be tightened until the people of Gaza are hungry and demand that Gilad be released! The world will call us "criminals" and call for boycotts. So what! They are doing that already so they can go to hell. Gilad, son of Noam and Aviva Shalit, is my child too. He is the child of every mother and father in the State of Israel and he will come home to us even if the people of Gaza, who support terrorism and Hamas' aim to destroy Israel, have to go through hell. To the people of Gaza: Remember the Ten Plagues on Egypt? Hamas is a plague on you and the New Tenth Plague, will be delivered, not by an Angel, but by the Israel Defense Force! Keep him prisoner then you will starve and you will not see your loved ones held by Israel, with access to the read cross, denied to Gilad, until he is released. Hurt him and wrath of Israel will come down on you as did the wrath of the Allies come down of Dresden in WWII! Gaza will burn to the ground! Enough is enough! Just a pity Olmert didn't do this two years ago!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (02.18.09)
8. Guilad Shalit
It's NOW or never !
Johnny   (02.18.09)
9. Release Guilad Shalit
Who makes the rules? It's NOW or never, indeed.

10. Hamas is a Jew-killing machine.
There is no moral equivalence between Hamas terrorists and Israeli soldiers. There is no gray area. There is no point in negotiations. Hamas is a Jew-killing machine. It exists to destroy Israel. What is there to negotiate? When Hamas can't kill Jews, it's perfectly willing to drive Palestinian civilians into the line of fire - old men, women and children. Hamas herds the innocent into "shelters," then draws Israeli fire on them. And the headline-greedy media cheer them on. More about the war with Hamas at : http://xrl.us/bechf2
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (02.18.09)
11. Hamas doesn't know how to negotiate--just to extort!
What do you expect from the kidnapping criminal mafia thug machine called Hamas?
usa   (02.18.09)
12. Israel...do not trade 1000 killers for Shalit
You know Shalit himself would not want that. Hamas should have been forced by the world community to give him up. But they just keep giving Hamas millions of dollars. We live in a weird immoral age.
BJL ,   usa   (02.18.09)
13. Hamas rejects lull conditions
Give it to them if they want it. Keep creating sonic booms over their territory.
Daniel ,   Israel   (02.18.09)
14. Hey Israeli "goverment"
Why not offer to release ANOTHER 1000 prisoners, MAYBE then Hamas will give this a 2nd look? Or hey, how about giving up some MORE land, ya know like the Heights, yeah that's it, maybe Syria will then tell Hamas to release Shalit. Here's a VIABLE option for them to sink their teeth into, "give Shalit up OR we'll ship you and all your thugs off to be with allah. That' something they can RELATE TO, it's called STRENGTH. And WHO cares WHAT "the world" thinks, OR would say, look where THAT mentality has gotten you so far! WHEN will you LEARN? Better question, will you EVER????
TheWatchman777 ,   America   (02.18.09)
15. WHAT ARE WE WAITING FOR
There is no truce , so in other words we are at war, hello anybody paying attention. Enough already bomb them and keep on bombing them and not empty buildings , untill they beg for mercy . Stop this pussyfooting already , these are ruthless enemies , who deserve what they get. Besides that they glorify death and want to be martyrs , so fulfill their wish already.
DAVID ,   JUDEA   (02.18.09)
16. hamas rejects peace talks
It's time action takes the place of diplomacy--They would only kidnap someone else anyway. . Why not line up the 1000 terrorist they want released and for every day they reject peace SHOOT 50. World opinion will remain the same . I'm afraid a slingshot will not work today.
Art Schwartz ,   IRVINE, CA.   (02.18.09)
17. Prisoner exchange
The question is he still alive?
David asleson ,   Mpla usa   (02.18.09)
18. They are in no position to reject anything.
Israel once again did half a job instead of grinding Gaza into dust,it left with half a job done.Hamas is still in control and dictating terms to Israel, how crazy is that.
YSL ,   Jerusalem   (02.19.09)
19. Reject? So Be It
No Shalit, no truce. Cut off all supplies to Gaza. Wait and see who's going to relent.
Zohan ,   Tel Aviv   (02.19.09)
20. THIS IS AN EXAMPLE
and the last opportunity to show those shitty terrorists, that Israel will not negotiate leaving back our brother SHALIT. But it is a shame to release terrorists in his return. Israel should have not quit Gaza without Shalit. Bomb them till they give him back !!
Albert ,   Buenos Aires ARG   (02.19.09)
