We all know what this comedian was trying to achieve - and actually he's right. The Catholic Church's behavior regarding Williamson is nothing short of disgraceful. It is perfectly reasonable to doiubt that a virgin could give birth (2000 years ago) or that anyone could walk on water. Those are religious myths not historical facts. Doubting the Holocaust is different. That is a well-documented event in recent history. So the comedian's choices were not the best. Better to mockingly doubt historica facts: that the Vatican exists, or that there have ever been popes, etc. But really, there is no adequate quid pro quo here.
