1. It hurts to see that nothing has changed after 'cast lead'
Rose ,   Netherlands   (02.22.09)
The kassams still come in, and now that the IDF is out of Gaza, there is not much it can do against it, short of a new invasion. The trend started in the Yom Kippur war, of withdrawing too early, has cost Israel much credibility in the eyes of the enemies. On a military level - no deterrent, but also on the political level - no Shalit, the world falsely believing in many civilian victims and homeless Gazans. And now there is a threat from the north as well, as hezbolla is trying out Israel's apparently non-existing deterrent. I do hope that Livni and and/or Netanyahu will do something about it.
2. gazans were occupied by ottoman, by british by egyptians,
catherina israel   (02.22.09)
by israel, finaly had a chance to prove what they can do with freedom before state of israel shut its borders with them. what they proved is they don't know how to behave as a society, and the only thing that ever united them is the aspiration for freedom. so even when they had freedom, and ethnically cleansed gaza strip free of jews, they still attacked israel. israelis see all they are capable of doing is creating bombs, believe in anti-israel propaganda, and crying about their bad luck. nothing positive.
3. Sderot Netivot
James   (02.22.09)
In WW2 the allies retaliated . Israel has the left wingers and Kadima who believe that the world admire Israel for its restraint . The latest outburst of antisemitism shows the fallacy of this belief. Do what is necessary ! Only a full response will suffice !
4. Halt the missile attacks on Sderot.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (02.22.09)
The PA population elected the Hamas terrorist organization to lead the government in a landslide victory two years ago, and they alone would be responsible in case of a humanitarian crisis in Gaza – not Israel. Qassam shooting at Israel should stop at any price. Prudence is an important consideration of statesmanship, but self-respect is vital and no self-respecting nation can allow the situation in Sderot to continue. Missile attacks launched from Gaza should stop as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi5wv
5. Halt the Qassams launched at the western Negev.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (02.22.09)
What is the Israeli government waiting for in order to put an end to the rocket and mortar attacks fired by Gaza terrorists at Israel. The right decision would be to destroy the Hamas regime in Gaza, and suspending the negotiations for a final status agreement with Palestinian Authority Chairman and Fatah leader Mahmoud Abbas. Israel has the duty to defend its citizens, not with moderation, but with all its might. A formal decision should be taken to completely eradicate missile attacks launched from Gaza as explained at : http://xrl.us/bi5wv
