1. 65-seat right-wing government- HATED?
Avraham Rottman, M.D ,   Bet Shemesh   (02.23.09)
A "source" close to Netanyahu says that a 65-seat "right-wing" government will be hated in Israela nd abroad? WHY? Isn't 65 a MAJORITY of the seats and votes? And if it politically "right," why does a NEtanyahu advisor think that means it will be HATED? Who is advising this drivel stupidity? And who cares about what the world thinks? Our existence and purpose as a nation is NOT to satisfy them (it would be OK to not aggravate them, but we are not here to make them happy).
2. For those who have no memory
Al   (02.23.09)
Netanyahu as I have stated before is useless and a fool of a man. He has learned nothing from his disasterous previous try at being PM. Remember Wye..remember the fact that he stayed with kamima up to the expulsion. He will turn on the right wing for he believes in nothing. He has used the death of his brother to furthur his career. He was a friggin furniture salesman for christs sake, untill Moshe Arens "discovered" him. He was a suck up to clinton and will be one to Obama. Israel has no leadership worth a damn. She is condemned to suffer from both poor leadership (right, left etc) and crooked government forever. Were it not for G-d watching over this state, it would have been history a long time ago. We are cooked...Thank G-d he cares for us.
3. AGREE!
Dr. Rottman'sPatient ,   Beit Shemesh   (02.23.09)
The Nation of Israel has spoken and it is RIGHT WING. Perhaps if Bibi had any pride in his religion and country and a little fear of G-d, he would not be afraid of the rest of the world. We've tried appeasing the world and we just ended up with more dead Jews. Bibi, learn from the past!
4. Netanyahu is a pity dirty little thief
Keren ,   Israel-SP   (02.23.09)
"He really doesn’t like the idea of a narrow government," said a source close to Netanyahu. "As opposed to some of his advisors, he believes a narrow right-wing government is wrong from a political point of view, as well as from the public's point of view." He stole(STOLE!)Livni position because it was supposed the majorty was Right and thus with more afinity with him,and now, this little thief, after stealing the position DIDN'T BELONG TO HIM,is saying that a narrow right wing govt is wrong from a political point of view???
5. #s 1&3 Bibi will never get all 65 to sit together
Eric ,   Tel Aviv   (02.23.09)
Bibi will never get all 65 to sit together without selling out on the budget and the future. The "natural partners" of a "right-wing government" will never get a budget approved in time and will at best be a 50 member government in no time. Liberman and Shas are not "natural partners"
6. JUST KEEP AND SETTLE ALL THE LAND
Petra ,   USA   (02.23.09)
WHOEVER BECOMES P.M. THE REST IS SMALL STUFF. p.s. is there a politician any of you like?
7. why should we care?
(02.23.09)
Netanyahu has the excellent and honest Yaalon to be DM. Why should we care that Barak will not be DM? It was Barak who destroyed the SLA, allowing Hezbolla to take over Lebanon and defeat the IDF. It was Barak who betrayed Madhat Yussuf, teaching Israel's minorities that they should not serve in the IDF It was Barak who allowed Arafat to start the Second Intifada with thousands of deaths, including 12 Israeli citizens shot dead by Barak's police. It was Barak who supported the expulsion of Gush Katif, bringing Hamas into power. It was Barak who supported the release of Samir Kuntar. It was Barak who stopped "Cast Lead" early, abandoning Gilad Shalit and allowing Hamas to return to shooting rockets.
8. Peace begins at home!
David Eli ,   Israel   (02.23.09)
So let Kadima and Labor make peace with Likud before they try making "peace" with the Palestinian Arabs. Especially now, with the most serious threat looming from Iran, Israel needs the widest possible unity government. And no deep and lasting peace can ever be made with Arab Muslims until they reject and outlaw "honor" killings of their female relatives, for peace begins at home. Please understand this simple truth.
9. right wing gov't
Yaakov ben Moshe ,   USA   (02.23.09)
Noone seems to mind when the USA under obama have an extreme left wing gov't. I'm sure if livni was PM with all her left wing cronies making up the gov't the world would be thrilled.ONLY when Israel "seems" to elect people whos main concern is the survival of Israel and keep it's citizens safe doe the world object. GO FIGURE.
10. Netanyahu is the only statesman. The others are petty
Jake   (02.23.09)
Livni is only thinking about joining the opposition in order to make her political comeback. Netanyahu, however, understands the ramifications of a narrow right wing government, both in terms of stability at home and susceptibility to political pressure from abroad. He's been there before. He will continue to adamantly press Livni and sweeten the deal for Kadima until they abandon their shortsighted position, and join the coalition.
11. Keren, Israel-SP
Darla ,   Gladstone,MO USA   (02.24.09)
So you want a traiter / Laugher of God's word ahead of your government...to Give Land to Palestine to make "peace"...It will never come...since before Egyptian times the Jewish people have been percequted and your pitiful dirty mind wants Tipy !!!
