YNet, this morning: "Iran's nuke chief to announce 'good news' in April"
2. Nevah gonna happen G.I.
Gideon Reader   (02.26.09)
Nah. zipperette will to cut the Beebster's baytzim off and pout until she is the de facto PM, and he is merely the guy who can put the gubbmint together. The dance will continue for a bit, but he knows that she wants to adhere to what is laughingly called an ideology in Kadima, i.e., having a Pal state on land given to them and the division of J'lem, plus other goodies. Zippo will be the "molez" that backstabs the right and whistles to the Obamanation in D.C., already another hostile entity with a socialist, pro Islamic pigyon at Israels swan like throat.

Prove what you are and that you know who your voters are... and that you are not just haggling over the price (in portfolios)
5. "If he rejects Annapolis and the Road Map initiative, what's
DR ,   Hebron   (02.26.09)
Yes. You said it. The difference is that the HAMAS wants the destruction of the state of Israel, whereas you only want to assist them.
6. Bibi Will Be History If He Does A 'Sharon'
Adina Kutnicki ,   Israel, new olah   (02.26.09)
Poppycock. Livni is power hungry, all her 'ideology' aside. As for Bibi - if he agrees to chase the two state solution/disaster he will be history. The right, which helped him from falling on his face like the last election, will NEVER forgive him.
7. Bibi will let Livni run the show he just wants the crown
zionist forever   (02.26.09)
Likud is not a right wing party its a liberal one. Kadima is a left wing party Yisrael Beitanu is a secular party willing to compromise on most issues. Netanyahu will wear the crown but Livni will be the power behind the throne. 28 Kadima, 27 Likud, 15 YB topped off by a very anti Israel pro muslim Barak Obama. Without the religious and right wing blocks preasuring him Bibi will cave into Obama. Assuming Bibi decides he is committed to his policy of not dividing Jerusalem or giving away the Golan if Livni wants to give it all away for her place in the history books she will bring Liberman round to her way of thinking. The 23 right wing and the religious MKs will be divided and unable to act as a viable opposition. Barak & Meretz will vote with the left even if they are not in the coalition. If Netanyahu forms a coalition with Livni he will have betreayed the right who are all going to be sitting in opposition without any influence and we will have a liberal left wing government who will proudly carry on the Olmert, Livni Barak policies we voted to get rid of. The election cost the country approxomatly $1 billion in lost income from the stores being closed and the cost of the election itself and all we will get is more of the same policies minus Barak & Olmert The results of this election get more depressing everyday.
8. Hard to believe
Dan   (02.26.09)
Europe will tolerate the formation of such a fracist regime on it's borders. But I suppose they have done it before, it will end in sorrow.
9. Surround yourself with poison and you will soon die.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (02.26.09)
10. Disgusting
Ari   (02.26.09)
"If he rejects Annapolis and the Road Map initiative, what's the difference between us and Hamas?" That's a disgusting comment. The comparison is completely inappropriate. Zionists can have fundamentally different opinions on this issue and can vehemently disagree without being terrorists. I am against Palestinian statehood and I am not Hamas. Last time I checked I never lobbed a kassam rocket into Aza indiscriminately killing civilians. Being against a palestinian terror state in Israel does not make a person Hamas. It's just a disgusting comment and reflects how primitive, backwards, and intellectual dishonest these people are who surround Livni. Either you think like her, or you are Hamas. Disgusting....
11. What's the difference between us and Hamas?
Debbie ,   Israel   (02.26.09)
If she has to ask this question, she is DEFINITELY not fit to be Prime Minister of the Jewish State. And if Bibi continues to run after her, he's a bigger Loser than I thought.
12. the americans
JL ,   israel   (02.26.09)
or the B O administration are going to force the new government to include kadima as a prelude to thier plans to force an agreement on us as the first step to thier plans to placate the islamic world
13. difference between Hamas and Israel
Israel Israeli ,   Tel Aviv   (02.26.09)
The amazing things is that so many people voted for her. Not only was she part of a government that lost two wars and abandoned Gilad Shalit and Sderot, she also compares Israel to Hamas. Like the KKK and worse, Hamas is a racist organization that officially considers Jews to be animals that must be exterminated. If she can't see the difference with Israel, she should emigrate to Dubai.
14. Livni's Logic
Yonason Herschlag   (02.26.09)
Hamas rejects Anapolis and two State solution, and Bib rejects Annapolis and two State solution. Hence as the two share something in common, the conclussion is there is no difference between them. By that logic, one could conclude that as Livni has two eyes and a nose, and dogs have two eyes and a nose, therefore there is no difference between them.
15. The Livni compromise is very easy but a bitter pill for all
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (02.26.09)
Kadimah supporters do not want Livni to join a Likud led government. Contrary to Netanyahu's claim, the Likud did not win the election. The "ultra right wing bloc" did. This we Kadimahniks have to accept and the right wing also has to accept that if they are in government they will have to moderate their tone and demands. Whether we like it or not we are part of a very anti-Israel and anti-Semitic world and we cannot isolate ourselves from the USA and Europe. If we do, well the financial consequences will be dire. Our produce, already suffering from embargoes in some countries will not be exported at all. An EU embargo would be a catastrophe! Electronic development will die and the multinational companies will start withdrawing. Our own arms development, so import for our defense and exports, already are suffering because of budget restraints. Unemployment will grow and the worst possible thing will happen: Yerida - people will leave Israel. These are facts and there is no point in hiding our heads in extreme right wing ideology and saying "Ihiyeh beseder" - it will be OK. It won't! So the best case scenario is that Bibi, Tzippy, Avigdor and Barak, if he wants to, face reality and form a strong government without the Hardim who will drain the country dry and oppose any constitutional change. This government would be 81 seats strong and could be the best thing that has happened to this country in nearly 61 years. The alternative is a general election in 6 to 9 moths and another waste of a NIS200 million. From his previous term as Prime Minister Bibi knows damn well the he will have to compromise, particularly when it come to the USA. He remembers well the Wye Plantation Agreement and the pullout from Hebron. In short we Israelis will have to accept these compromises and look ahead and stop prattling on about Oslo, Wye, the Gaza Pullout and the evacuation of "illegal" settlements. If we don't then we must prepare ourselves for the hardest times ever for the country. It’s a very bitter pill for us on the center right and right wing to swallow but we don’t have another way out.
16. Don"t Take Her Literally, She's Not So Smart
Brana Lobel ,   Israel   (02.26.09)
I don't think she meant the Hamas quote literally, more like a broad general comparison for rhetorical purposes. More significant is her stances which show no depth of thought, consideration of consequences, or strategic or tactical brain. She would be a dreadful leader. Netanyahu is depressing, as sure can can politic but does he not have a platform bottom line? It seems to be different with each group he talks to.
17. To #14 Yonason Herschlag: You don't have two eyes and a nose
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (02.26.09)
If you do, what does that make you? Stupid comment!
18. #7 zionist forever
Michael ,   Haifa   (02.26.09)
I totally agree with his analysis, but as opposed to him, I am not depressed but thoroughly delighted
19. Netanyahu: Meeting with Livini
Boruch Shaver ,   Safat , Israel   (02.26.09)
nausiating, weak , sick and pure mindlessness etc.
20. #17 David
Yonason Herschlag   (02.26.09)
Relax. Obviously we all have some things in common, like two eyes and a nose, yet obviously just because two things share something in common that doesn't mean they are equivalent. However, Livni's logic is to equate Bibi with Hamas just because they share a common rejection of the two State proposal. By the way, most Palestinians would prefer life as it was before Oslo, than to having their own State.
