1. "no pressure" well Bibi hasn't even formed the gov. yet.
Bunnie Meyer ,   Los Angeles, CA USA   (02.26.09)
2. They can call it whatever they want but this is INTERFERENCE
Marcella   (02.26.09)
How shameful of the US to be interfering in the only civilized democracy in the entire Middle East. This has to stop!!!!! Israelis must reclaim their independence and demand that the US and other countries treat them as the independent country and ancient civilization that they are, much older than the US that grabbed land from the American Indians, and much older than any of the nations of Europe. Think just for a moment: where were the Europeans and the Americans during the Holocaust? They were fighting their own war, that's true, but they made sure that the Jewish victims did NOT receive any help, whether in the form of asylum or by the bombing of railroads leading to crematoria, or by bombing the crematoria themselves. The US and the Europeans speak of peace but they can't even disguise these days the kind of language that betrays their hatred and contempt for the Jews. Their real agenda is to demoralize Israel and to weaken its security to the point where it will fall to the collective aggression of all surrounding countries.
3. NO PRESSURE
Kofi   (02.26.09)
Okay no pressure, then would you rather call it arm twisting? What's the difference?
4. To#2
Jennie ,   NYC   (02.26.09)
Great post ! You are absoluteley right !! All the friendly mediators of the world need first to look at the map and try to find there Israel, that is hardly noticable among the huge chunks of land of Israel's enemies. If that doesn't reveal the real purpose of all the appeasers, I don't know what is....When did ever withdrawals from land, that was won over bitter wars and attacks against the Jewish Land, brought peace to Israel. For 60 years Israel is trying to make peace with enemies who never accepted the right of Israel to exist. Shouldn't Mitchell first work on the first step towards peace, that would begin with the arabs accepting Israel's right to their country in the land of their origin ?! The negotiators need also to review the history of the so-called palestinians before a new terrorist state is being formed....
5. Future PM Netanyana/&Amb.Mitchell
Alan ,   Lincolnwood,Illinois   (02.27.09)
FM Minister Livni talks about PA & "moderate Arab countries" Who are they?Egypt-Jordan...Egypt supplies Hamas&Jordan destroyed Jewish holy sites...Bibi plans help PA's economy which is mutually beneficial. However,no on land give away,no on recognition. He has learned from Sharon's mistake with Gaza.I "hope" President Obama is not influenced by former Abm.Freeman and Powers.Shabbot Shalom
6. The loyalty of the settlers.
Robert Bernier ,   Tel Aviv   (02.27.09)
Settlers are among the most devoted and patriotic citizens of the Jewish state, and their children command IDF fighting units out of proportion to their numbers. Unlike their most vocal detractors, many of whom regard the land as inconsequential plots of real estate, the settler community not only sees the land as sacred - as indeed it is - but inculcates its children with a profound commitment to the Jewish people. 7. "friendly" now
Michael ,   Haifa   (02.27.09)
Things may begin to move towards a resolution of the conflict when the "unfriendly" meetings begin.
8. Mitchell go home - BACK to baseball - we DONT want you here
Moshe ,   Beit SHemesh   (02.27.09)
we have experienced enough dead Israelis from the process which, in Orwellian terms, is referred to as the "peace" process.
9. to 4 / thank you jennie
