1. Clear mandate?
LarryT ,   K.Sava   (03.02.09)
Do we live in the same country? He was not given a clear mandate and actually the people voted for Livni. There is a mandate for unity for center: Likud + Kadima but once Bibi already promised items to Shas it was just as well that Kadima is not in the government. The people clearly spoke against Shas. I am not sure how Bibi will give in to their money requests when there are so many people who are out-of-work with no chance of finding any
2. Bibi's "Right wing" message
DT ,   TA Israel   (03.02.09)
So why is he wasting time and sending the wrong message by trying to have Drippy Zippy and Co in his supposed Right wing government
3. unity
colin   (03.02.09)
The people voted to get rid of the leftest defetist kadima and labour and yet BIBI now comes with a story of a strong government with these two useless candidtaes. Barak the cowardly egomaniac only wants a seat .Livni thinks she will become a princess. There will not be a strong government with a flussie and a coward that hates jews as he proved as minister of evictions(defence)
4. So Bibi, make your Govrenment already!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.02.09)
Mr. Know it all Netanyahu, stop the BS, I prefer to call it bull shit, and form your Government and let's see you put your money where you mouth is! Show us "mortals" who voted for Kadimah how you are going to form a Government with Lieberman and Shas at the same table. This will be a miracle, if I believed in them. The bigger miracle will be to hold Shas in your Government when you start carrying out the electoral reform that you "say" you support or when Lieberman demands Civil Marriage which he PROMISED his voters! Just remember, Shas, because of NIS1 billion and Livni's refusal to kiss the "you know what" of the Rav Oviadia Yosef, has left this country without a Government since November. Because of Shas' bringing down the Government and leaving the country in limbo while the financial world collapses, Israelis are loosing their jobs left, right and center and you are going to have find the money to pay them the little unemployment allowance left after you eroded when you were Finance Minister! Come on, Bibi, get on with it of get out!
5. To Number 1: You're right we don;t live in the same Country
D ,   MH, Israel   (03.02.09)
This isn't the US. We live in a parliamentary democracy, which means the main party and it's satellite parties who have the biggest potential to form a gov't is who wins. That mandate was given to Bibi and the right wing Livni got a few thousand votes more than the Likud by taking all the votes away from her natural satellite parties. If that did not happen, she would not have had anywhere near the votes she had. The country voted right... deal with it!
6. No Nonsense
Bill Staar ,   Chicago USA   (03.02.09)
It's Nonsense to think that the Palestinian issue is not the top priority, Israels problems all stem from this issue. tourism suffers, security because you have to keep military control over a captive population cries of injustice from those people causes other nations to respond with threats because it. quit kidding yourselves the Palestinian issue is the core to all your problems solve this one issue the others will then take care of themselves. "Blessed are the peace Makers" trust God and let go!
7. #5 Nothing to deal with
LarryT ,   K.Sava   (03.02.09)
The country voted for Livni and Bibi as a second - 55 mandates - very center. Left of center and right of center - unless you did not understand. Unfortunately Bibi will go with people who simply want to destroy Israel and BTW I voted Lieberman. He should be Religion Minister.
