2. Bibi wheels and deals while Israelis get fired!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.06.09)
If you can make a government then do it now! Shas brought down Kadima and caused complete paralysis at a time when we needed major economic decisions and action. If you had any sense you would go to Kadima and form a stable government , Likud, Kadima and Israel Beiteinu - of 70 seats without Shas who will bring your government down without at the drop of a hat if they don't get money, money and more money! Stop dillydallying and show us that you can be a leader and get us out of the hole that Shas dug for us! We need decisions NOW and the Treasury MUST be bought into line!

Bibi offered Kadima more then any other party to form a broad government. I don't see how it's his fault that Livni was talking about "unity", but really meant only unity under her leadership
4. #3, sorry but #2 is right
LT ,   KS   (03.06.09)
There was no chance for unity once Bibi had closed with Shas. 2B shekels to Shas - disgusting. Again he is destroying us. Our hard-earned money thrown away to those people
5. TO # 2 AND 4
FAD EGYPT   (03.06.09)
BOTH OF R U WRONG WELL BIBI HAS OFFERED LIVNI FULL PARTNERSHIP BUT STANDED HIS TO HIS PRINCIPLES REFUSING TO PLAY WITH THE COUNTRY SECURITY AND REFUSED TO ACCEPT THE TWO STATE SOLUTION WHICH WILL DESTROY ISRAEL BUT SHE TURNED HIS OFFER DOWN BECAUSE SHE JUST WANT TO BE THE HEAD IF WE TALKED ABOUT SHAS AND THE MONEY DONT BLAME BIBI BUT BLAME THE STUPID POLITICAL SYSTEM WHICH MAKE THE LEADER OR THE PRIME MINISTER TO DEPEND ON THE SECTORIAL PARTIES WHICH GIVE HIM THE SUPPORT IN EXCHANGE OF MONEY AND BIBI IS NOT THE FIRST PM TO DO SO OLMERT STAYED WITH SHAS SHARON BARAK RABIN AND MANY OTHER PM PAID SHAS MONEY TO TAKE THEIR SUPPORT TO PRESERVE THE GOVERNMENT ALSO SHAS ID DEMANDING THE 2 BILLION SHEKELS TO THE CHILD WELFARE AND NOT TO THE ULTRA ORTHODOX COMMUNITY SO BIBI IS RIGHT GOD BLESS BIBI AND HELP HIM FORMING STRONG RIGHT WING GOVERNMENT SHALOM
6. To #3: Jason: The problem is Shas!
David ,   Karmiel, Israel   (03.07.09)
As an American you don't know much about Israeli politics. There would not have been an election if Shas had not pulled the rug out from under Livni's feet because the is a woman, would no give into their demands of NIS 1 billion for THEIR coumminity and would not bow down and kiss the A.... of the Rav Ovadia Yosef! They did this in a time of worldwide financial uncertainty and prevented the implementation of measures to stabalize the economy. You do not live in a country wher the Ultra-Orthodox dictate or try to dictate when how and what we may eat, live or do with our lives! You live in a country where you are free to marry whom you want and live the lifestyle you want, and shop when and where you want. Come to Israel and see what it is like to live in a theocracy by a minority who won't allow buses and trains to run on Shabbat and many of whom do not serve in the IDF, study in the Yeshivot and leech off the land! Would you sit in a government with Shas particularly knowing that they will bring down Netanyahu in the same way the they brought down Livni?
7. #6 really?
Jason ,   USA   (03.07.09)
How does me being an American have anything to do with knowledge about Israeli politics? I probably spend more time reading Israeli news then most. Does Livni's refusal to enter the governement give Shas more or less influence? Would Bibi have to give more or less to Shas if Labor/Kadima entered the government? I'm not arguing for Shas, I'm making the point that if Livni entered the government and formed a broad coalition, no single party or special interest would have the power to topple the government.
