1. Violent Jihadis Won't Dictate How We Will Stop Them
Yishai Kohen ,   YeShA, Israel   (03.16.09)
They can be peaceful and safe, or be violent and risk a serious head injury. The choice is theirs.
2. So? The "demonstration" itself was illegal.
Jonathan M. Boyko ,   Ofrah, Israel   (03.16.09)
3. If I wanted the Dover Tshal statement..
Smith ,   Tel-Aviv, Israel   (03.16.09)
I would have gone to their website. This is useless journalism...... propaganda at worst. I lean neither way but I do like some investigation from journalists.... is it asking too much of the "free press"?
4. WAR CRIMES, DISPROPORTIONATE
dmgold ,   Pardes Hanna Israel   (03.16.09)
Mr Left Wing Anti Israel Anti Jew Protester came all the way from the USA to ISRAEL to participate in a MOB and physically threaten the law enforcement forces of Israel. One can have no sympathy for violent protesters of any kind.
5. We also notice a marked rise in violence by protestors
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (03.16.09)
they are in no position to complain
6. using illegal ammunition against illegal riots
Genuine Tosefta ,   Tveria   (03.16.09)
stupid hypocrites!
7. Solidarity movements
Ricardo Macher ,   KarneiShomron-Israel   (03.16.09)
Why is it so difficult to expel from the country and forbid their entrance ever again of all these people who come to our country to shout and destroy? That is not a democratic question, that is simply regular all over the world. Kick them out and let them shout from abroad!
8. You shout, you're shot!!
Bertie ,   Paris   (03.16.09)
That's freedom of opinion, israelian way! And apparently, Ynet readers are OK with this...
9. They are traitors to Israel, send them to gaza
TA   (03.16.09)

11. to #8
ghostq   (03.16.09)
it's not just souting is also making unnecessary provocation, thos people r literaly ask for it, there r ways to express ones opinions and others to cause meyham.
12. Excessive
frank ,   israel   (03.16.09)
the only thing excessive is the left and their stupidity. If we could find a way to curb their constant idioticy and dangerous attitudes towards jews we may have a chance. Rule #1, you go into areas where you are not wanted and bad things happen. Would this same putz anderson go into WATTS in Los Angeles? I doubt it and if he did and was hurt do you think anyone would give a rat's ass? No! STAY OUT OF OUR LIVES and maybe you will survive your own. Well not him, but other morons like him. Go fight for the rights of the American Indians, Basques, irish, all those people being burtilized in africa....get out of our faces and leave us along, or not and get the fate of a meddling, no-it-all do-gooder.....no symphany here for people who put themselves in harms way, get hurt and then refuse to accept the responsibility for their actions. That goes for his whinning parents also....
13. Excessive force?
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.16.09)
Exactly how much force is excessive when a bunch of foreigners descend upon YOUR country with the express purpose of fomenting dissent, encouraging less than peaceful demonstrations, rock-throwing, tire-burning thereby forcing the country to go to great expense to deploy additional police and armed troops? Do you have any idea what would have happened to him, in, say, Latin America? Iran? the Persian Gulf? Et cetera, et cetera? Oh please. An American citizen who visits Israel is a guest in a foreign country. He needs to act as a guest and be on best behavior. If he deliberately chooses to violate that trust, he deserves whatever happens to him. I am not shocked, not horrified. Had he been killed, I would not be shocked, nor horrified, either. I wouldn't mind seeing him thrown in jail, where he can get to know the Arabs whose cause he is pushing up close and personal. He deserves nothing less.
14. To: Bertie at No. 8
Sarah ,   New York City, USA   (03.16.09)
Careful, Bertie. Some of us students of history know EXACTLY how France put down riots of protest throughout the country when Algeria was granted independence. Over a thousand dead, wasn't it? Some of the military agitators were shot; some of the non-military agitators went to the guillotine. We students of history also know the degree of force used in Paris against student riots in 1968. And how many people died in that instance. Careful, Bertie. People who live in glass houses should not throw stones.
15. avneiry, oz, beilin and olmert
marcel   (03.16.09)
So you offered fatah everything, and its sitll not enough. What do you want to do--beg the nazis.Yoiu bloody fools. Arabs don't want jews around, not even as equal citizens. jews went into the ovens once, they are not going to do it again. You love arabs, go live in ramallah with their bullshit. Excessive force-you are full of it.
16. #8 GET A CLUE! They were throwing stones, not just shouting
Constitution for ,   dummies, usa   (03.16.09)
Protestors also throw molotov cocktails at cars. This is NOT FREEDOM OF EXPRESSION. You'd better study up; no Constitution protects the right to protest using violence. Violence almost always escalates a situation when the armed forces are called in to disperse a crowd. It happens in every country around the world, including democratic nations like America. However, I'm hardly surprised that someone from France would suggest that a full surrender complete with white flag is the only way to deal with violent protestors. Pathetic!
17. Naalin protesters are anarchists, embrace violence
JPS ,   Efrat   (03.16.09)
There should be no surprise that there is a victim of violence here. The article leaves out the facts of who these "protesters" are - they are self-proclaimed anarchists with no respect for law and order. In fact, they embrace violence as a means of expressing themselves. And don't forget that Anderson is just another dupe for the International Solidarity Mission, which is a PLO front organization and has nothing to do with human rights. If these guys were so concerned about human rights, of course, then they'd obviously be protesting the use of illegal anti-personnel weapons by the Pals, fired at Israeli civilians almost every day for the past 8 years. But they're anarchists who use violence, then bleat and cry when violence is used against them.
18. Left wing protesters and ammo
jeremy ,   hula valley kibbutz   (03.16.09)
Firts, I doubt the ammo used was illegal, this is something that anti Israel protests scream life a person crying wolf. Anything just to get attention. Secondly, this was an illegal demostration, I have nothing against protest or speaking out, this is a right, however, these weekly protests are always violent, and anyone willing to get involved at these protests risks harm. I will not cry tears over some dumb ass that came here from outside the country just to place themselves in harms way, Didn't these people learn anything after Rachael Coor was killed.
19. Common sense
Seve ,   Houston, USA   (03.16.09)
If one knows it is dangerous to partake in an activity, one takes responsibility for one's actions...we shouldn't be butting in their business.
20. IDF used excessive force
Nili ,   Jerusalem   (03.16.09)
These people invade our country, abuse the soldiers we rely on to guard us and expect sympathy!! Why don't they try protesting against the multitudes of abuses that the arabs commit against their own peoples--oh, they can't, they would be shot or worse. I for one am sick of these trouble makers. We have enough enemies--don't let these fools into our country!
21. IDF did right
DT ,   TA Israel   (03.16.09)
Serves the US national right.
22. Criminals know their "rights"
Kyle ,   Southpark, CO, USA   (03.16.09)
They are drilled endlessly by their handlers on provoking a situation, and they are pleased as pie whenever one of them gets hurt, by his own active stupidity, in order to have something to complain about to the media. It would not surprise me if all these statements were prepared in advance.
23. BLA BLA
(03.16.09)
24. And your critics on the state are disproportionate!
(03.16.09)
25. Democracy stops at the Green Line
Akiva Zieserman ,   Hadera, Israel   (03.16.09)
Beoyond the Green Line is the Wiled West Bank where there is no democracy, but an occupation which is a militay dicatorship for all intents and purposes.
26. Deadly Force
Yisroel ,   USA   (03.16.09)
I stood at the grave of a young IDF lieutenant, and said Kadish. He was hit in the head and killed by Arabs throwing "stones" in a demonstration. Deadly force begets deadly force. As soon as the mob starts throwing stones they should be wiped out. Kill them before they kill you.
27. They can't do it in Arab countries so they do it
Maria ,   MD   (03.16.09)
Israel, the most merciful country in the Arab world or in the world.
28. EXCESSIVE FARCE!
meir elazar   (03.16.09)
There is little difference between HAMAS terrorists shooting and launching rockets from Mosques, schools, hospitals, etc. expecting that they "deserve" some kind of protection by "virtue" of the location they fire from and the human shields that they exploit. When the leftist "solidarity" anti-Israel operative fight toi undermine Israeli defense mechanisms which protect Israeli citizens from terror, these leftist scum are aiding and abetting the terrorists. As such they deserve all the punishment and pain that they incur. Intifada terror in Israel has dramatically diminished as a result of the Fence and all the other protective measure put into place. Just look at the number of terrorist incidents at the beginning of Intifada 2 as compared with today. Securing the pourous borders protects Israelis while providing a punishing imprisonment of the terrorists which perfectly fits their terrorist crimes. Their posture uncompromisingly demands the destruction of Israel and murder of all Israelis and Jews. As such there is no negotiable middleground and we are left with only one option to protect our people. Anyone who is complicit with the efforts to destroy us is fully deserving of any and all injuries sustained during such activities. I do not shed a single tear for Rachel Corrie or the Brit who died of their terror supporting activities. In fact I would say that IDF is far too kind towards these leftists. Let them get what they deserve in spades.
29. I'm left wing and this makes me appalled to be so...
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (03.16.09)
because if Mr. Anderson were truly left wing he'd have more sympathy towards the hundreds of other injustices around the world far worse than the Wall. To all international bigots of Israel, go protest the inequality and injustice in the rest of the middle east countries, northern Africa(where doctors have have had to flee!), Sri Lanka, Bolivia, Georgia, etc. and then question if the IDF was using excessive force. Oh wait.....you'll be dead by then.
30. Sorry Akiva (#25) - UNR242 says otherwise
William ,   Israel   (03.16.09)
The West Bank is NOT occupied but disputed, and until then, a legal prize by Israel for winning an aggressive war of genocide against it by its neighbors, as supporting by parts of the Geneva Convention. Perhaps you should have made the trip to TA with your left-wing buddies and cry foul, too. But leave the legal and moral issues of the world to the rest of us who read and follow laws. The day that your friends across the Green Line STOP using terror to push us out of the region will be the day they can see the military lax control - until that day, I thank G-d for the great efforts by the Israeli security establishment to curtain what is an Arab extortion and organized crime entity in Gaza/WB, for all intents and purposes. We think the Arabs are enemy #1 but truth is those like you with perverted views of reality who foment the violence in the region are the real enemies.
