Go get them. We understand your pain here in the US. Do not worry about global opinion in your action, you already know they will condemn you no matter what so just ignore them.

I lost a son in the Sbarro Pizzeria bombing. I understand where the grief and anger comes from -- believe me I do -- and I am absolutely against the release of a single, solitary terrorist from the Israeli prison in which he or she belongs. But nothing on G-d's green earth can induce me to act no better than terrorists. In my particular case, what terrorism has done is taken a rather left-wing liberal Jewish family and made them hard-core right-wingers. But I stop well short of individual vigilantism. The terrorists have taken away my son; that is as much of me as they are going to get. They cannot -- and will not -- reduce me to their level. If they do that --- they will have won. I will never consent to their victory; not on theirs -- or anyone else's -- terms. I understand the grief of the Schijveschuurder brothers -- at least I think I do; I lost a son, they lost both parents and three siblings. But Meir Schijveschuurder is an attorney. He must ascribe to a canon of ethics that necessarily exceeds his personal feelings and owes greater allegiance to the law. In sum -- as unfortunate a decision as I think it will be to release a single terrorist for an empty Hamas promise -- I cannot support a program of revenge undertaken by individuals. Leave that job to the Mossad. They are very, very good at what they do.
7. Mr. Schijveschuurder has my full support

marcel   (03.16.09)
The state cannot do this, certainly olmert and mazuz cannot do this, one from weakness, the other from legal constraints. You can and should, pursue them, all their supporters whether in Jenin or elsewhere. What the state of israel has become is a symbol for the weak jew before the EU and the the US. Fight, fight back and live.revenge is the only word arabs understand. Pursue them as nasrollah says for 1000 years.

13. My heart goes out to you ..
EST ,   Miami USA   (03.16.09)
Sara and to the other victims of terror. I am truly sorry for your loss but if you read the article correctly, it says,"... relatives made it clear that they will deal with every terrorist in line with the laws prevalent in his or her place of residence." They are actually not stooping to the animal level of these things ... for lack of a better word. They are just ready to apply the law of the land, whatever that may be in the different countries. Personally, I think it's about time ...
14. How can i donate
Shamil benyaminov ,   US, NYC   (03.16.09)
We jews act like bunch of wimps, our government is useless. It always tries to appease everyone from terrorist and countries that scream we should not exist. I tell them all go to hel*. We must stop giving any of our land away. They want peace they keep whatever they have. Enough already. I would like donate...how can we donate to this cause. Do you people forget where subhuman Samir Kuntar was release he was welcmed as national hero. Stop with ethics already, those subhumans don’t have any…. Toda roba Shalom
15. execution of justice
Jennifer ,   Seattle, USA   (03.16.09)
The torah speaks of justice as something that must be actively pursued and executed. Justice is not passive or a wishful thought. While I'm not openly advocating vigilanty activity, I also think it is a sad commentary on the Israeli government (and the people for not demanding more) that justice is not executed in Israel. Yes, justice should be tempered with mercy (according to Torah) but mercy for the unrepentant, or mercy without justice, makes a mockery out of mercy.
16. You are Right --- And Wrong!
David ,   Cincinnati, U.S.A.   (03.16.09)
G-d bless and sustain you and your family, Sarah. You have our deepest sympathies. Thankfully I can in no way appreciate the depth of your loss, but do appreciate your sentiments. If the perps of these heinous acts of terrorism were aborations, I would agree with you; regretably they are not. There is no law among the lawless. They are a law unto themselves. They mock our laws, our values, and our will. They are savages among the civilized who, like make dogs, must be "put down" before they kill and mame again. I wish it were not so, but it is. NEVER AGAIN must mean just that! For the sake of your son and all other victims of teror and their families. May you and all other victims be conforted and straightened in the knowledge that we love and support you.
17. you have my support
Ronnie ,   Jerusalem   (03.16.09)
When the government doesn't keep its citizens safe, than citizens have to take safety into their own hands. You have my full and utter support to take justice into your hands and defend us from those civilian-killing, anti-Semitic, Islamic murderers. Where can I donate?

23. I agree Sara, yet it all depends....
Aaron ,   SF, USA   (03.16.09)
on their actions and if it really does mirror terrorism.... did you not read the second to last paragraph? "they will deal with every terrorist in line with the laws prevalent in his or her place of residence. For example, terrorists located in Germany or Holland will be subjected to lawsuits." The vigilante aspects of this article do indeed allure to violence and mossad like pseudo-terrorism(indiscriminate civilian casualties determine this) but Schijveschuurder being a lawyer and that paragraph let us know they are just going to sue the hell out of these people. Now....if a stray Israeli gets a little trigger happy or accidentally poisons one of these people.....that's something else and will be dealt with when it happens. I don't condone violence for the very reasons you pointed out as well - we are better than them and have ethics - well what about the ethics of Justice? My donation would come with guidelines to how this money is spent and to make sure no innocent bystanders get killed. Paypal link?
24. To #4-You got too used to the likes of the 1%ers
Arie ,   BaGolan   (03.16.09)
They are finished. The REAL Israelis are taking our country back! As the Bard wrote.."revenge is a dessert best served cold." It is about to become quite frigid in gaza!

What is a reputable newspaper doing giving free publicity to people lacking in the brain area to the extent that they publicise their intention to carry out extra-judicial mafia-style hits on people they choose. The tenor of Mr Schrijveschuurder's words is chilling. The lone ranger "me against the world" is planning to collect funds to hire hit teams - and this is reported as if it is not a criminal undertaking. It's bad enough that the Israeli government carries out extra-judicial executions - but now that private citizens feel they can kill with impunity it is shocking. You should read the note by Sarah #6.
28. Uncontrolled elements
Raphael ,   Netanya   (03.16.09)
PA, Hamas, Hezb shield themselves against reprisals arguing that terror is initiated by "uncontrolled elements". We too need such uncontrolled elements, considering the lack of efficiency of the bureaucrats of Mossad, Shinbeth, etc...

Sarah, you are a very brave lady.Thank you for sharing with us.
30. What a great idea!
sean ,   londonistan, UK   (03.16.09)
I'm often surprised by how slow the Israelis react (after all, I'm British and have been raised on a BBC/Al-Gu'ardian diet and you're supposed to be so cunning!!!) You need to be doing stuff like this, and also raising the issue of the ethnic cleansing of Jews from muslim countries; putting more proud Bedouin or Druze Israelis out in front; employing more Ethiopians as spokesmen; etc Hasbarah that might actually work in the PoMo multiculturalist looney world we live in....
