1. Hamas...

should have taken the free in exile offer, it's the best they could have gotten but oh well much like Ehud Barak offer in the 90's for return to 67 lines they will get much much less in the next offer, and I don't see y they shouldn't return to their original homelands like Syria or Egypt or Iraq.
2. Very rich coming from Hamas...
Julio ,   Mexico   (03.18.09)
"Olmert is the one responsible for the failure of getting a deal...he played the Israeli public and the Shalit family for fools." Hamas asserts that Olmert is playing with the Israeli public and Shalit family? The irony of such a statement from Hamas is amazing. These are truly warped "people". Such an obvious attempt to try to sow further seeds of division in Israel. What they don't understand is that it will not work because Israelis have no regard for what murdering psychopathic scum thinks.
3. cut of the snakes head
Stu ,   israel   (03.18.09)
its more than possible and I'm sure there are plenty of volunteers, kill the head of hamas. Admit nothing, demand nothing, make sure there are no other casulties and after they've finnished jumping up and down sceaming and shouting for the media circus they will be trying to rip israels arm off for a deal
4. no need for exile
Meir ,   Beit Shemesh   (03.18.09)
just free them in the same condition Hizbollah freed Regev and Golwasser. It will save wasted oxygen and space on earth
5. Before a single prisoner is released...
Daniel ,   Israel   (03.18.09)
talk to Gilad on video conferance; see that he is well and hearty and safely landed in an agreed place.
6. What has Hamas to demand?
eli ,   jerusalem   (03.18.09)
They are terrorists and kinappers and the people of Gaza elected them to rule them. The very same people would celebrate at the streets, if G-D forbid terrorists would be released. So let them feel that every thing has a price. Close the strip until Gilad is back. It is very easy for them to release Gilad, if they want and he is alive. The have no right to demand anything but they have to pay for that crime how they treat Gilad.
7. WE DON'T NEGOTIATE W/ TERRORISTS
petra ,   uSA   (03.18.09)
Is so long ago and of course, they do negotiate w/ terrorists and kidnappers. My suggestion, kill a Pal each day until Shalit is returned alive and well. Or, if they insist Israel free the terrorists, inject each one of the Pal prisoners w/ the aids virus and turn them loose. Gaza will die off sooner than later, and BTW, Israeli hospitals should refuse them service and any care. Keeping terrorists alive is a gross insult to any live Israeli and any lover of democracy.
8. Double Standards
John ,   USA   (03.18.09)
When people say that all palestinians deserve to be blockaded because they elected terrorists, this logic would apply equally to the people who elected of Begin, Sharon or Netanyahu. Thus, each side justifies the continuing violence of the other. The state of Israel has lost her soul until it sincerely seeks equal rights for all within its borders - settlements and starvation blockades only weaken Israel's spiritual and moral character and strengthen the logic behind its enemies tactical responses.
