Of course that since Israel was founded on brutality and racism, it is not surprsing then that such attacks against the Arab population goes on unabated, and its sympathizers and apologists, such as those who make up the bulk of commetators in here, continue to deny, bemoan and deflect. So what exactly are Palestinian citizens of Israel supposed to do to "join" Israel? Convert to Judaism? Or are you saying that you can be equal to a Jewish citizen in the eyes of the law, state, society and culture, if you are not Jewish? Better think about the answer carefully, since Palestinian citizens of Israel will one day in the not too distant future outnumber Jewish citizens. If I were an Israeli Jew, I would promote equality in a state where someday I was going to be in the minority instead of demanding that non-Jews recognize the righteousness of a Jewish state rather than a state for all of its citizens.
