The article says that last week Gaza war veterans gave accounts of killing of civilians. This is not true. The media reported that the headmaster of a certain military college alleged that two graduates gave these accounts, but refused to identify the graduates making it impossible to confirm these stories. There are unsubstantiated rumors that soldiers from the military college were total failures in the war, so the IDF wanted to close the college. The headmaster invented these stories so that he would not lose his job.

Any group that calls itself a "human rights" organization must embrace the concept of universal human rights. PHR does not because it refuses to support human rights in Israel that are attacked by Palestinians. There is decades of not just evidence, but outright claims of responsibility by Palestinian groups that now control the Palestinian Authority. These groups, Fatah and Hamas, are responsible for some of the most vicious human rights crimes including the deliberate bombings of dozens of civilian targets, and over 10 thousand anti-personnel missiles and mortars fired explicitly at Israeli civilians in the past 8 years. I could not find a single statement by PHR on their website either condemning the Palestinian human rights atrocities, nor calling on the Palestinians to obey human rights laws. PHR is obviously not a group that pursues universal human rights. They are just another pro-Palestinian lobby group.
