It looks like gold but its not and its not worth anything either, Barak was the hero of Cast Lead getting all the credit for it but in he wasn't a very good DM. His first screw up was as PM he pulled out of Lebanon without trying to put any measures in place to control Hizbullah and its that incompitence that led to the Lebanon war. When he became DM his first plan was rule out returning gas masks even though Syria was mounting troops near the Golan on the ground he didn't want Syria to think we wanted to go to war.. In the begining he rejected the idea of even renting an American phlanx cannon as a temproy solution to trying to stop the rockets. Instead like Olmert he decided to wait until the Iron Dome which is rubbish anyway will be ready a couple 1-2 years from now. Since Gaza he has looked again at the cannon but he still hasn't said we should get it and we are still just waiting for the Iron Dome whenever that will be. It was him & Livni that were in a real hurry to end Cast Lead as early as possible worry about the results later because they only had a matter of weeks before the election & they were both trailing Netanyahu in the polls but all campaigns were on hold. They needed out quick to start campaigning. Barak might have been a good soilder in his day buy he is a political amuter who can't handle Israeli politics.
